Everyone.. the combo with Explosive Trap is bad, because it's obvious. Opponent will simply trade into Veranus with debuffed minions, and redevelop the board.
It clears 4 minions with a locust weapon already equipped and a springpaw for 8 mana and the entire board with unleash for 9 mana, and gives board control, given the general rule that hunter always gets bad and tricky board clears compared to all other classes, I would say that this card is pretty good for control hunter or tech against other control decks.
The problem with the Springpaw/Desert Spear combos is that you usually use those cards to fight for early board. What's left in you deck to combo with Veranus on turn 9/10? Unleash, and what else? I want to like the card, but I'm not convinced, yet.
Every single time they print a big minion for a good cost with a nice ability I get suckered into thinking it is going to be good.
No more! I have been fooled once too many times. Besides this is the same cost at HIghmane. Probably means this is only good if Dragon Hunter is good. Does seem to fit in with the quest well though.
This isn't really thematic for hunter (I'd expect this as a Paladin card), but playing this card against a giant board and then dropping an Explosive Trap or Unleash the Hounds will be absolutely hilarious. Good body, reasonable cost, and powerful effect = solid card.
The fact Hunter doesn't get an Aspect and all other good guys do triggers my OCD really hard. Seriously, my hype for the expansion has dropped dramatically.
None of the dragon aspects fit the theme of Hunter, certainly NOT Alexstrasza.
Seems like class identity went down the drain here.
How? It's literally hunter's mark attached to a minion.
so cool card ,but hunter cant play dragons ez 400 dust
What's stopping them from playing dragons?
There's actually a pretty decent mid-range dragon package already in the game. This fits pretty nicely. This is also great in a minion-based deck that wants to contest the board.

can't wait to discover this with Rogue :))
Should’ve been a Paladin card...
If you have [card]Desert Spear[/card] equipped it can be very strong tempo.
Explosive trap approves.
...anus...

Very good. Needs better tools to clear the board other than Explosive Trap
I think you use all the 1/1s in Hunter instead of Explosive Trap. Unleash the Hounds, Springmaw, the weapon, the bug collector, the twinspell...

Setting just minions health to 1 is hunter mechanic. This isn’t in the wrong class.
It doesnt even need dragons, it is good by itself
The status are great, the battlecry is great, the value is great but the class is wrong
This was definitely my first thought. Why on earth is this a Hunter card and not a Paladin card?

Stop it... It will be like all the others...

Its very good and I hate it.
3 mana 7/6 with (better) Equality attached, in hunter.
