Unfortunately won't see any play outside of niche decks because Boom is simply the better hero card.
Are you being serious or is this satire? One is a control hero, one is an aggro. They won't compete for slots in the least bit.
One is a top tier hero in a deck that has been top tier since the hero's inception.
Other is a 7 cost aggro hero in the exact same class.
Galakrond is much weaker than Boom. Unless it gets busted support it won't overthrow control warrior. Unless you wish to cripple yourself on purpose there is no reason to run an inferior deck.
Because, as everyone knows, the only way to play Hearthstone is to play the single best deck and never anything else.
If you're playing ladder in order to rank to the highest possible rank then yes, you should only use the single best deck otherwise you're crippling yourself. Doing the opposite is the equivalent of bringing a bike to a sports car race and then whinig how everyone else had an unfair advantage over you.
I mean, you are allowed to play the game however you want. We're talking abour viability here and one hero and deck has so far shown itself to be clearly superior to the other. This isn't set in stone, ofc, and things might change as new cards get revealed but for now it is what it is.
A class can have multiple good decks. Also boom rotates out in a few months.
That's besides the point. I have no doubt that, with information that we have at this moment, Galakrond will see a lot more play when Boom rotates out in April.

I agree that for now boom is simply better.. But we have to wait further.
I really like this. Very powerful with Rush minions. Tempo Warrior isn't the best deck at the moment but it isn't weak either. And this will work with that deck really well. It is also good to see a different warrior archetype getting support instead of Control Warrior.
For all those cool aggro decks that want the game to last until turn 7?
I'd think of it more as a backup plan in case the game lasts that long. A final high-damage push could win a game that you'd otherwise have lost
But it's a Galakrond. It isn't just a card that you can slap in your deck and call it a panic button. To get anything approaching value out of it, you gotta include Invokers, which are all looking subpar for aggro so far. If I want an aggro deck, it's much simpler to go over to Paladin or Shaman.
The invoke effect is better than it as a hero power imo.
I want to see more cards with the effect but it doesnt seem to be an archetype that works well with the aggressive side of the druid deathknight hero power.

Control Warrior will use this card for the invoke early mid game control it provide and then its insane battlecry value. After that we can switch back to Dr.Boom later if needed.
When DK Garrosh was in Standard most CW deck play both Garrosh for boardclear and Dr.Boom for value. CW was not popular at that time so maybe you didnt notice

I don't understand this hype... For control, boom is better and for aggro it is just so slow to be able carry the deck. I feel like it will end the same way as quest.
So i vote dust... We will see what future bring upon us.
Imagine having such a fragile ego that you get personaly offended when opinions of others on cards don't match your own.
Or having such a fragile ego that you had to answer him just because you instantly feel attacked. Go to the salt thread if you can't see further than control warrior and/or you didn't like the card because you can't think about anything else to at least making him work.

The invoke cards all give you three attack for the turn, though. That's the kind cool thing about invoke, they all work differently depending on which EVIL class they're in. They're value generators in Priest, they give you tokens in Warlock, they give you lackies in rogue, and in warrior they give you attack power to smack your opponent with.
And having a single seven drop in an aggro deck is really not that bad. Especially when that 7 drop can give you a 5 attack weapon to finish your opponent with, or draws cards so you can refill. Tempo Rogue used to run Lich King & Bonemare even.

Me: Card is bad
Seba: OmG gO tO tHe SaLt ThReAd CONTROL WARRIOR PLAYER!
Hearthpwn has turned into a forest of fragile egos. I'm sorry that illiteracy kept you away from understanding basic forum interaction and what I was saying. I never said that I can't find a home for the card. Invoke warrior! There, home found. I'm saying that what is keeping it from being good is a currently much more superior hero/deck.

Shhhhh...don't you know that hype > reality and logic?
A class can have multiple good decks. Also boom rotates out in a few months.
Take a look at my most recent deck, Watch post, totem, menagerie shaman.

This shit seems... busted.
Badly.

Seems good in a tempo deck. But we must see the other invoke cards, especially the warrior's...

It is very good but only because of the battlecry it has but while Dr. Boom, Mad Genius is there, it will only be used for the buff and draw
On second thought, doing 3 damage or more each turn on an aggro deck sounds interesting by the invoke
