It doesn't even matter anymore though. Who's even going to play Priest while it has a 20% less winchance than the top classes? Priest is now officially in it's worst state ever seen. Only 37% winrate now.
36% wr has to be the worst wr of any class in any meta ever. Priest struggles with the same problem it has been struggling for the majority of last 6 years, lack of wincon, which has become even more apparent due to the removal of Mind Blast and players refusing to play DS/IF.
The other big issue with priest is for whatever reason, they've always been afraid to give priest really good early game minions, but when they've had them (Gadgetzan with Kabal Talonpriest & Songstealer, Naxxramas with Dark Cultist, even Un'goro with Lyra, Radiant Elemental and Curious Glimmerroot) Priest has been a stronger class.
It's a class that really NEEDS solid minions, and I think they've sort of realized that with some of the cards this year. But this is one reason I think they really need to redo the classic & basic set.
Tested a lot of this minion and it's an utter joke.
Very rarely you get a card because two of them will always not be in hand and it's not easy to think what card they have, specially if they full mulliganed. Lazul is much better (and rarely sees play already) and Glimeroot was way better because it was possible all 3 cards it showed were pickable.
You want a 2 drop out against aggro, you're better off with the 1/4 gnome with Taunt.
When every class out there seems to have gained cards with upgrades that exist or previously existed, it's insane this is actually a massive downgrade to Glimmeroot.
The main purpose of this card is to pull it off of Galakrond in the mid-late game. You're much more likely to be able to guess what the opponent has in his hand. There's also something to be said for picking the card you WANT rather than the card you think they have. Sometimes it's better to have a chance at a good card than a guarantee of getting a mediocre one.
I think if that's what they intended, though, the card probably should have been a 2/3 or something more reasonable as far as it's stats. I doubt they'll buff it, though.

I think it really is more about the information.
If you play it with the intent of gaining a card from the Battlecry, you are likely to be disappointed.
If you play it because you need to know what's in their hand (or not in their hand), you will often get what you came for.
I'm not saying it's a good card, but that's how I think they intended us to use it.

after playtesting it, my rating changed from very good to DustIt.
You really needed playtesting for this card?
With the nerfs for Shaman, they should buff this card. It's just plain trash.

Probability of getting a card is ~1/3 unless you know most of opponent's deck, which is very rare.
If Blizzard can make Underbelly Angler 2/3 then there is no reason this card should be understated.
This should be a 1/3 to be playable, so atleast could survive more than 1 trade, is an epic got damn it.
