So potentially meta defining since that's an S-tier cars in its released meta and still sees play in wild?
A worse version is still a very very good card.
Val'anyr could go in anything. This card goes in specifically dragon paladin so if that deck isn't good enough this card isn't either. Too early to call imo. They're obviously going to print some a ton of dragon stuff this expac.
I was commenting more on the negative tone of the original comment, as if Val'anyr is a bad card and this one is worse.
This card definitely has the potential to be very strong if IF it gets the support you mention, and also if silence is common of not in the meta.
Goes along with all the other good cards that suffer because of Aggro. I don't see any good aggro defense yet so basically can't be a good card until we have the card that says:
Gain Taunt if you're holding a Dragon. Or Book Wyrm type card .
A bit circumstantial, but chains well with a Dragon Paladin deck... especially with the 8 mana 8/8 now potentially a 11/11! So it deserves some testing and play. Playable, but I just don’t know if it has the tools to be really good.
4/2 weapon is worth a little less than 4 mana, so you're paying at least 2 mana for the effect, probably slightly more(Truesilver has a bonus effect for a 4 mana 4/2 weapon). This one is a 3 mana 3/3, so you're paying 1 mana max for the effect, in reality likely slightly less. Additionally, this effect rolls more quickly.
I think the card is probably going to end up being quite powerful assuming a dragon paladin deck emerges but my biggest problem with the card is that it's just kind of boring. I personally feel that class legendaries are the best outlet for truly awesome and creative card development and I just feel like this card is simply a missed opportunity to do something more interesting or exciting.
Oh well, I voted Very Good because it's basically a recurring Blessing of Kings on a stick. Hard to go wrong with that I suppose.
This card really need good Dragons with taunt/rush in order to shine, or it will be too slow. If we get some great taunt/rush Dragons that cost 6 or lower, this card will be busted.
It seems much better as long as there's actually a decent dragon paladin deck to support it. If the Valanyr buff was silenced you just wasted 2 turns swinging and understatted weapon only for it to be removed. It conflicted with other strong weapons like Truesilver that you actually want in your deck. Whereas with this card you can just plop in as a fair 3 cost minion and your happy if they waste a silence on a 3 mana 3/3. Also, every time you want the Valanyr buff you'd have to wait til the minion dies and swing it another two times, whereas this guy will just cycle the buffs straight on to the next dragon at a very small investment of 3 mana for a 3/3. And finally a +3/+3 buff as early as turn 4 is much more relevant than a +4/+2 buff on turn 7. Imagine a 7/10 twilight drake on turn 4 lol.
Problem is you always have to have dragons in hand for the effects to snowball with... You'll d have to hold back Bronze Herald to copy it for more 4/4 dragons, and you're going to have to fill 1/3 of your deck with reborn minions to activate the quest, leaving no room for effective dragons. Or else, you DO include the dragons, and you have no removal, in which case you're dead before you buff your dragons.
It will only be viable if they included a reborn dragon or 2.
Playable, but not game breaking or meta defining. If it hits a high cost dragon that you can't play for some time, then it's basically just a 3 mana 3/3.

This effect does not work with reborn. The copy summoned does not keep buffs.
The interaction with Bronze Herald is worth talking about. If the buff goes on herald with no other dragons in hand, will it buff one of the 4/4s when it dies or just fizzle?

I'm betting on the deathrattle buff only affecting a card already in hand.

We played 2 different meta's I guess, since it was in a lot of agro and even decks at legend ranks. But I'll digress...
I want to try it with Da Undatakah
Hand Buff and evolution are my fun ways to play

Wow, infinite value. Ridiculous! Also, 3 mana for 6/6 of stats is bonkers, and it could eventually be 12/12 or even 15/15 of stats down the line.

Looks fun albeit a bit slow. I could definitely see this in a slower dragon Paladin deck.

Very good investment for 3 mana but only playable in paladin deck that has many dragon cards. But card itself is really good

But if dragon decks are bad this card is bad ofc.
Reminds me a lot of Val'anyr, but worse. Val'anyr was definitely good, but it wasn't overwhelming. So I imagine this will be a bit better than okay.

Finally, one guy gets it.
OK card to play on turn 3 IF you have a dragon in hand ( so conditional x 2 ), horrible card to topdeck late game.
VOTED: BAD
every single low cost cards are horrible card to topdeck at late game but we still play them.
