I only play Wild and Arena, but I've never seen a problem with this card. Heck, control warrior isn't even good in Wild. We just have to suffer through barnes priest and lots of noninteractive OTKs and aggro decks.
The best adjustment I've heard so far is to have the battlecry be "Give all mechs in your hand and deck rush."
Agreed. It feels like the most elegant solution that doesn't gut or change the card entirely. It at least gives your opponent some possibility of building a board late game against the flood of Omega Assembly, Delivery Drone, and Elysiana generated mechs.
I am not anti-control warrior at all, but I am actually in favor of the more severe nerf "give mechs in your hand rush". Because it makes the card more interesting. Play it now and get the armor + hero power right away, or later and give more mechs rush.
I've considered that, too. Or the alternative (give mechs in your deck rush). We're getting into margins too small to predict at this point, so I couldn't say which solution would really be most balanced. But any nerf that doesn't completely neuter the card would be a welcome change at this point.
No, without the Battlecry, Dr. Boom, Mad Genius would be severely underpowered. It'd also remove the core fantasy of Dr. Boom with his army of mechs.
That said, I don't think a redesign to weaken the battlecry would be inappropriate. Something like "For the rest of the game, your mechs which cost 3 or less gain rush" would be fine with me. Or "For the rest of the game, when you summon a mech with 3 or less power, give it rush." That'd be reminiscent of the pre-nerf Warsong Commander. Obviously, the "X or less" could be tweaked, depending on need.
Keeps the same theme, but is significantly less powerful. Not every mech would gain rush, but there'd be cool work arounds with playing a smaller mech to gain rush, then magnetizing something bigger onto it.
I'd also change Delivery Drone to give a random mech, since that'd just be more fun. Less favoring powerful class mechs, and there'd be wild moments getting mechs from other classes.
What do you mean by core fantasy? Rush for mechs isn't a core fantasy for Dr. Boom. If anything is, it would be to have your mechs explode at the end of your turn.

Dr. Boom will stay exactly the way he is until he rotates out of standard (at which point he'll still stay exactly as he is).
