I think blizzard is doing a good job design wise for Hunter in GVG. They are really trying to push a midrange/control hunter, with bigger beasts with great affects and giving you options for board control. On another note, this card definitely does not fit into a aggro hunter because it is too slow for the current aggro deck that is being ran. If hunter became more zoo-like then this card may find a home in a hunter aggro deck, but I do not see that happening.
Nah, you lose a lot of tempo if you play Shadowform early. With the sniper, you can get get an early board for 2 mana. It's an extremely good 2-drop, while Shadowform only has some niche uses.
Also, the fact that shadowform doesn't go away can hurt Priest decks more than it does good.
I don't understand the appeal anyone sees in playing this card in aggro Hunter. The build is extremely tight, and this card has anti-synergy with a lot of cards by neither being a beast nor having a deathrattle (or preferably both, as most beasts that see play these days). Early board control is important for the aggro Hunter, as someone mentioned, but this should be achieved by overwhelming the opponent with tempo (through a low curve and extremely efficient minions like Undertaker, Haunted Creeper and Mad Scientist). A lot of decks don't even have 3/2s (which is pretty much what you want to hit with this minion), and any time this ends up effectively being a vanilla 2/3 it's substantially worse than any other Hunter 2-drop.
As others have correctly identified, this card is clearly intended for a midrange or control style, which try to win through card advantage and value. It's a good card for achieving either of those, and will undoubtedly see a lot of play if such playstyles become very effective, but slowly outvaluing your opponent over time just is not at all in line with an aggro Hunter's strategy.

which unfortunately few people will try, because BRING OUT YOUR DEAD followed by a bunch of cheap DR minions leads to quick games that are a great way to farm ladder.
Paladin: Heropower is give 1/1 to all minions instead
Shaman: Summon super totems that have all stats of the other 4
Rogue: deal 1 damage to all enemy minions or equip a 2/2 or someting
Warrior: give a minion +2 hp
Druid: gain 2 attack and 2 armor
Warlock: Draw a card without hp loss
Mage: deal 2 damage.
Priest: has it already
This would be an unnecessary plurality. The existence of this card serves to open up new possibilities for hunter deck options from aggro to control style.
What you're suggesting doesn't further a different play style or do something innovative.
Plus, the mage idea is the exact same result as the hunter, so it's a cop-out clone
What about a sylvanas steal as example Warrior? Will the warrior hero power then be give 2 armor to a minion? dunno if this question has been answered already, if so I'd like a link :)
Search around in recent Hearthpwn posts. I remember it being clarified officially that this only works with the Hunter hero power. Stealing it will just be a 2/3.

Always looking for casual play and meeting new people. Hit me up at adampjr#1929 (NA).
I really hate Hunters, always have - both to play with and play against - but this shift to a more Control orientated style may actually pull me to the class, some great looking cards including this guy who's basically a mini Auchenai (with a bit less synergy)

I am Ozymandias, King of Kings
I think Priest is cheaper and better, considering that Shadowform doesn't go away.

this card is very powerful if you could keep it alive maybe help hunter with being control instead of lots of rush down you see in the ladder

This card is not so powerfull. It's like Auchenai, but Sniper has only 3 health. So oponent will just kill it next turn.
