You all like this card, until you need 4 damage to kill a minion and crackle does 3. Or when you face a shaman that does 6 damage for 2 mana (1 overload), and turns the game around.
Don't even bother with probability tables. If you play with this card, all scenarios will happen in one of your games sooner or later. Even if you don't play it, you will run into a deck that runs it. That's the deal with RNG. You get undeserved good results, you get intended results, you get undeserved bad results. While your opponent, doesn't even have a choice.
If that is the deal, why not design the card to produce optimal results?
It's possible to have +1 spell power regularly when playing Shaman. Most decks run Azure Drakes and Bloodmage Thalnos. The totem also provides a good chance of the +1 spell power opportunity so I am very excited about the potential this card has. I'd like to have a viable Elemental Shaman build and this gets me a step closer to justifying Malygos. I want it so bad even if it's currently a bad idea :)
Hate the use of RNG for balance. The card will be broken in games where you roll a 5 or 6. The fact the shaman player may roll a 3 in other games doesn't change it.
Drafted 2 of me too. Very nice card I have to say, it dealt only 1 time 6 dmg (against a Yeti, yay!), most of the time the dmg was 4, but that's just fine. The fact that can burn the opponent face too it's a plus!
It may see some play in constructed too.

So I just drafted two of these in arena and got to play it five times. Each time it hit for +5 damage. This card is awesome.
