Hey guys. I'm not sure if this thread belongs here or in the general discussions. Sorry if this is the wrong place and for my average english.
Usually when a new expansion comes out I wait for the last card reveal then I spend countless hours in the deck builder trying to figure out new decks for each class, cool obscure combos or heavy meta decks before the expansion launches.
I enjoy it a lot I think I theorycraft more than play the actual game. I can't remember an expansion since Vanilla hearthstone where I was stuck and couldn't build a deck. This had a significant impact on my decision to preorder every time.
But this time with Uldum I don't know what's happening the powerlevel is astounding, the cards are nice, I love and worship Highlander decks, the Wild support is massive, but I wasn't able to build anything satisfying for standard format, all I've got is a Mogu Cultist warlock deck and a Mecha'thun rogue deck but I don't really like playing combo decks in general. The quest hunter deck looks fun to play but it's pretty straightforward to build.
A part of me thinks this is amazing and I will have the fun of my life building decks in Uldum for an extended period of time, another part is telling me "okay maybe everything just sucks and I don't wanna see it."
What do you guys think? Should I pre order like I always do even if I play the game less than an hour every week?
As far as should you preorder and only playing an hour per week, it’s up to you and your mileage may vary. I was on the fence about preordering and then preordered as soon as I saw Activate the Obelisk. I’m crafting that in gold.
I have never pre-ordered because I always felt like the amount of time I spend with the game did not justify it.
However, this time around there are so many cards I'm excited about trying out that I made myself pre-order. I can't make the decision for you, I can just recommend to make a decision and be happy with it rather than regretting it if you don't get the cards you're looking for or the meta ends up being stale again after two or three weeks.
I'm F2P-player, so i never buy the bundles. But if i would, this expansion would be the one to buy for me. The cards are awesome imo and there are many possibilities to build fun decks. I will try to build as many funny homebrews as i can with my limited gold.

If I spent so little time playing, I don't think I would pre-order.
Do you want to spend more time playing? If so, maybe a cash investment will give you the incentive you need.
If not, I think it might be better for you to forget about owning cards and spend your time with the deck builder since that is the thing you really enjoy.

IMO in your situation doesn't worth to pre-order it, you play less in a month than some players play in one day.
About the cards, yes, I don't will pre-order this time too but not because I don't play much, but because the cards are bad and that's it.
I'm sorry for my bad english :D
