Best Arena card revealed? Certainly in the running. Common, good body and incredible direct damage that can take out a minion or go face to finish off an opponent, both of which will be valuable in a taunt-heavy meta. Doesn't hurt that it also takes out Wrapped Golem pretty much on-curve which looks like the other Arena big-hitter for the set. (Still need to find one damage to finish off the reborn, obvs).
I would say this is on a par with Kraken, better in some ways as the battlecry is the best part of that card and this has a more powerful one that comes out a turn earlier. Not quite the same threat level though.
Kripparian did it right. It`s an old op mage spell deal 5 damage summon a 5 mana random minion. now its not random trash but 5-6. For shaman or rogue its a 5-6 deal 10 damage. This is not arena card it`s a new finisher in constrated.
A spell that reads "deal 5 damage" is worth about 3 mana.
Combining effects is worth at least 1 to 2 mana, as you're saving a resource. (Could read that as "draw a card" if you're feeling particularly generous.)
This adds up to about 9 mana in value, so since this costs 8 it feels competitively viable. Reminds me a lot of Sunreaver Warmage, which is better when it works but has a condition.
Eh, good card. Works really well with the Shaman quest or Shark rogue.
On the Hearthstone value scale 11 points of stats is worth exactly 5 mana so you're paying 3 mana for the battlecry. 5 damage for 3 mana always comes with a condition (eg Kill Command, Lava Burst) so Pit Crocolisk is exactly fair value as the condition for getting the 5 damage is having to play a 5 mana fairly started minion with it.

While your breakdown true on paper, his valuation about combining effects with minion cards increasing Mana efficiency holds up in practice. A mediocre value card that does two things tends to be a bit better than a more efficient card with only one specific application, as a card draw is its own specific resource.
I'm of the school that this card is definitely *good*, but not impactful enough to add to a Standard decking without Spirit of The Shark or the Shaman Quest Hero Power.
Playing Pyroblast with a 5/6 attached is preeeeeeetty good.

great arena card
Arena-bound!

This looks great in Control Shaman with quest, 10 dmg to face for 8 mana with a body!
Shaman pyroblast.
Its basically Kraken with 1 mana less, 1 damage more and - 4/1 in stats. Doesnt look like a good deal. Still great in Arena thought.

Firelands portal that cost 1 more mana. Upside is u will always get an above average minion.
Wrapped Golem is probably still the best neutral minion of the set but this is not far behind.
arena only
Amazing arena card. Almost seems strong enough for constructed. If it cost 7 mana, I think it definitely would've seen constructed play.
for shark rogue it's a pyroblast that adds a body and cost less then 10 mana. seems pretty good.
Exactly! A 8 Mana pyroblast with a 5-6 body. Dope!
Strong arena card.

10 mana
Doing that Trump math:
A vanilla 5/6 is worth about 4.5 mana.

Love the art on this card! Really lookin fwd to play it in arena!
You don't have room in control shaman for this. Fountain is better and you don't want a million 8+ cost cards in your deck.
