Seems alright, but only really viable in mech decks. The negative effect of giving enemy minions reborn isn´t an immediate downside like Fel Reaver (unless the minon has rush or charge). The only instance where this card is garbage in mech decks is if the opponent already has a large board that is enough to trade with this minion. In other words if aggro decks are frequent then this card wont probably see play...
The downside doesn't feel that risky here, so I think this is a good card. Not sure what deck would use it though... Control Warrior would discover it, but never run it. Silence priest would run this, but this won't turn that into a metal deck.
That's better than Fel Reaver I think. I still do play fel reaver in some very aggressive decks so I assume the powerlevel is just fine for standard.
I love 5 mana 8/8 anyway. This is the best of them.
Just make sure you play silence cards with it. You don't want a Reborn taunt in the way of this.
This card is dust, it's worse, not better. Gets hard countered by taunt, rush and BGH. It gives aggro decks a big, sticky board you can't clear or trade into, losing you the game. Dust!
I think you're correct that it's worse than I imagine. BGH is really not relevant since it's nerf, but I didn't think of rush, or even deathrattle or divine shield, a lot of keywords benefit from reborn. But I still don't think it's dust and can find a spot in a deck
I dont like the design of super cards that bases your winning chance on your opponent deck rather than your own, for example Fel Reaver is less interesting than Keening Banshee but banshee's stats are just too weak.
