I can easily see this as a return to the old aggro warrior concept, AND I could see it being an addition to the current control warrior deck if you add another supercollider.
I mean, the trouble with aggro decks is ALWAYS that they run out of gas. But if your turn 8ish is "4/3, swing with arcanite reaper, 4/3" you're going to have some staying power.
I'm not sure if there is a deck that wants both the quest and Dr. Boom, but clearly the rotation at the beginning of next year will see this quest in control warrior as well.

Because Dr. Doom's hero power is not consistent. I'd rather have this hero power in a mirror match as provide a more consistent pressure source each turn.

Perfect observation!! Forget about standard control warrior, guys!!
Just imagine the classic pirate warrior. By turn 5-6 either you killed your opponent or you ran out of gas... but with a weapon (probably) equipped. This means, if your opponent is still alive, you can easily summon 2 4/3 minions each turn.
This is good but it could be terrifying if the golems have a mech tag (the reveal video doesn't make this clear although the hack flavor makes this reasonable) and gain rush if you complete the quest after transforming into Dr. Boom.
I think this is more suitable for Tempo than Aggro/Pirate Warrior of the past. Sul'thraze is clearly the best weapon for such a kind of deck and you could summon around half a board of 4/3s (=basically vanilla 3-drops with excellent stats) in the late game just by playing a single copy of it. Whether or not Tempo Warrior becomes relevant seems questionable but Bloodsworn Mercenary is also a great addition.
Have not responded to cards yet because I forgot my password. Just recovered it so I could reply to this.
A lot are seriously underrating this card! Pretty sure a warrior weapon is coming up., but Warrior has FOUR weapons already that support the more agressive weapon warrior very well.
Overlord's Whip: less need for minions, less downside. Oh yeah, and attacks four times all by itself.
Woodcutter's Axe: Amazing followup. And rush minions really help keep the board tidy.
Sul'thraze: Don't knock it until you've tried it. Great in aggressive/ tempo warrior decks and... oh yeah! Attacks multiple times a turn!
Heroic Strike. It's back. Combo it with Sul'Thraze or on its own and you are good to go.
The main reason I'm so enthousiastic was because the other day I was envisioning exactly this direction for warrior. A warrior that takes control of the board with weapons instead of AOE. While this is less control oriented than my vision (I had more can't attack face weapons in mind, and a no spells condition so that AOE was out), it is still very close to what I had hoped for but never thought I'd actually get.
By the way, I'm not calling a tier one/ two deck here. It's just great that one card can go so far in creating a completely different playstyle for warrior.
Nether Portal will be a great card if you control the discarded cards, what always make discardlock an unreliable deck is the random discard, this one require only the hero to attack, to complete the quest and get value, it is not hard for warrior, especially with Gorehowl.
If don't see play will be warrior already have many broken cards and not because this is bad like warlock quest.
Is it me or is this one a bit overpowered compared to the other quest rewards of this expansion?
The shaman quest could turn out more powerful, and the warlock quest MIGHT lead to some combo we haven't found yet, bu it's certainly better than druid and at least more generally useful, if not obviously more powerful, then paladin.

Weapons Project just got a lot stronger.
There can be more than one warrior deck in the meta. I don't see Dr boom going anywhere but I can't imagine a world where this quest sucks

As long as you have weapons this is stronger than Boom hero power.
Nobody says you can not play both in the deck.
You can use this early on and later switch to boom when you run out of attacks.
Trash until more support cards are printed. Well deserved imo.
Well, I guess Warrior isn't going anywhere for a while!
The Aggro synergy is obvious, but this *may* be better than Dr. Boom in a control deck. This card will definately see some play testing day 1.
Tentacles for Arms Value in Wild!
This is also gonna get a lot stronger after Dr Boom rotates out.
Any cheap weapon for the early game + weapon project + x2 Gorehowl and you never will stop attacking in the entire game.

I'm having flashbacks of nether portal.

Not to mention, the following spells are also great here:

Great with Overkill Weapons

With Dr. Boom it is enough, control is more viable
