i dont see how this is much worse than zilliax tbh
both do 3 damage immidiatly and usually kills something
with 5 health it means that it will also usually survive and get killed the next turn kind of like zilliax
drawing a random card that enables alot of your other cards is pretty much as good as healing unless you really need the health
plus you can cope this with barista and you can have it to begin with
It's not as good as Zilliax. Giving a class like Rogue even 6 potential points of healing alongside a removal effect is just too useful.
But yeah, I think the fact that this card cycles, even if it gives you a bad minion is getting severely undervalued. And even if it is a useless minion, it still enables a lot of your burgle effects (especially in mirror matches).
I think the 3/5 rush aspect of the card is fair, there's a lot of aggressively stated 3 and 4 drops with 4/3 stats that get taken out by this . Especially since it's in rogue which can use backstab or vendetta to get that extra damage at the same time to take out a 5-7 health minion if necessary.
but keep in mind zilliax is also played in decks with no other mechs or like just one or 2 mechs
The main things Zilliax has over this is Lifesteal, Taunt and Divine Shield. It's just a much better anti-aggro tool because it heals you and then has taunt. This card is more useful for board control (i.e. turning on vendetta) and value generation (since it's class minions, most of them are pretty decent).
But Zilliax is a one off legendary, I think there are room for other 5 drops.
Meh. It's okay. I've played Sightless Ranger in arena, and 3 damage for 5 mana was never too exciting. Often 2 in the case of the ranger of course. It was okay sometimes.
Aside from the Zilliax comparison, you could also compare it to Militia Commander. Pay one more mana to have less attack and give you a random minion? No thanks, there are better Vendetta activators.
Really hating the new direction they went with the burgle rogue mechanic. Playing against them was really infuriating, but at least you knew "ok hey he just stole 3 cards from my class, this this and this card I need to really play around" etc.
Now you don't know jack shit, you could be Shaman and all of a sudden they play a fucking Doomguard or some shit. I know this is done to combat the rogue vs rogue matchups, but come on, Pilfer is classic and it already has this mechanic, that's enough.
P.S. I did check in game and yes Pilfer has been changed to the new random class setup. Hearthpwn needs to update their links etc.
The card isn't horrible. However, it should have given a random card every time it attacked, instead of having that as a battlecry. That would have given the card a soft taunt, which would have helped Rogue overall. Rogue has always had issues with heavy aggro decks like a lot of the stuff Hunter plays.
Can anyone translate the player's name for me? I'm researching how HS uses players from around the world to release new cards but I don't speak (Chinese?) forgive my ignorance! Thanks all :)
Still think that hench clan thug is better, but I like the thief rogue archetype :)
Isn't it funny that 5 mana 8 stats + card + bonus effect in form of rush = meh Remember 5 mana 4/4 + card + bonus effects in form of spell power? Hearthstone did powercreep

Pretty average which means it won't see play in constructed but will be good for arena.

so the magnetic syngery isn't what makes the card played

Getting a random minion specifically is pretty good.
Worst mechanic in the game. The card is very good though. Giving removal to this type of card can be dangerous.

If that was random class minion that cost 6 or less it would be much more interesting. Getting big minions is not what rogue wants.
