If you're playing vs aggro this is like a boulder fist oger with the tag "make your opponent discard a card". If you're playing vs control this card is pretty bad. If you're playing vs combo this card is pretty good.

I put playble, depends on the meta I think.
I am a Wild player, and in Wild, where the powerlevel is even higher, this definitely won't see play aside from fringe tech against certain combo decks, simply beause as you pointed out, its pretty bad in Control Matchups:
Vs Warlock: If you summon Voidlord, It survives the attack, Mal'Ganis kills your minion and survives himself. Both then soon enter the Guld'dan rezz pool. If you hit Voidcaller, it likely summons either of the two at full health. You basically helped your opponent.
Vs Big Priest; If you play this card you lose even if they have neither Barnes nor Shadow Essence on curve.
These two Matchups are so terrible that this card will never see play in Wild.
Probably intended to be used in singleton deck as a "control" Hunter for disruption purposes. Decent body and effect but situation tech-card for hunter, like against a control Warrior would you run this over a Savannah Highmane (which is Warrior's nightmare)?
Obviously the card is nuts by itself, not sure exactly what type of Hunter deck this goes in however.
Often times just a 6 mana 6/5 or 6/6 with "Battlecry: your opponent discards a random minion". Which is just ABSURDLY good.
could this replace savannah high mane ? maybe in control decks
but anywere else probally not

I love this card vs highlander Reno decks.
