I am really pissed that Rogue's Plague of Madness is the only one that so far is thematically incorrect with the whole Plague "mechanic". Waiting on Warrior "Plague of Madness" to transform all into Boom Botfor a clown fiesta.
You need to find something more important to be upset about.
I think this is probably more dangerous than it seems, I'm thinking of poison seeds here, but I feel like Shaman has good enough AoE tools to follow up on it.
There's just so many ways this can low-roll for you, though.
This card is going to be loved and hated by all. I don't see this card not getting nerfed in its standard lifetime. I can see it fitting into any shaman deck PERIOD......
In addition to all the advantages people have already noted, if you play Murloc Shaman, it allows you to potentially turn a bunch of crummy tokens you may be stuck with into Murlocs. E.g. Lackeys, or totems, etc.
If you are facing 4 mountain giants, suddenly they're just murlocs.
If your opponent has one or two massive taunts on the board, again, poof, they're gone.
I am a Shaman fan (full disclosure), but this card is just great as it puts major risk back into decks that run huge minions. Those decks should not feel like they just can't lose if they hit their curve.
It's like devolve but better, and we all know how good that card is.
Control Shaman is currently a rogue deck but is on the verge of being a very powerful tier 1 deck, as the deck is a tech class for Giants Mage, Mech decks and a good shot at beating Bomb Warrior. However while the the deck does have the answers it heavily relies on having said answers in the form of Hex, Earth Shock and Hagatha's Scheme in order to stave off the continuous threats. Hagatha's scheme often comes too late and you have to dig for hex in most cases, which the class lacks good card draw.
Now we have Earthquake and this card and that is enough to put Control Shaman over the edge and have a much easier time against these decks with more removal that is actually tailored to countering the current meta. I strongly believe now Control Shaman will be a tier 1 deck.
Wow, i must be the only onenot blowing my wad all over this card. There are ways to play around this card. Could be wrong but i dont think its as great as everyone is saying.
great card, but if you use it to deal with the opponents board and don't have a lightning storm to follow up, you might get unlucky and roll some warleaders for your opponent. a board full of murlocs can be scary.

Shaman has everything right now. Good healing, good board clears, good value generation, good card draw, good quest, good hero, good tempo cards, silence, silence removal, mass silence removal, good face damage, good token generation
It's hard to imagine shaman not being at the top of the meta

I'm trying to say this on other posts and so far everyone just downvotes because god forbid we consider the future of the game as potentially shifting based on the outrageous power level of a class that currently has the potential to out-do everything else: better healing than priest, better control than warrior: better aggro than hunter and rogue...
I hope we're wrong and the rest of the cards balance this out, because right now Earthquake and Plague of Murlocs are the best removal and disruption cards (soon to be) in the game.

This is just amazing.

right there buddy
2xthis + 2xhex is enough to wreck big priests' and cubelocks' res pools in wild and I love it.
Now give me a card that sfuffles crappy minion in opponent decks, please.
What a card.

N'Zoth crying in the corner....
Updated the news post about it with a video of the card in action. This is pretty cool, cause it accidentally reveals the visuals of Sir Finley!
If you see a bad post on the forum use the report function under it, so I or someone else of the moderation team can take care of it!
Is that sir finly in the reveal video? The 2/3 murloc?

Big priest is
deadtransformed into murlock.Handlock and Conjurers mage on life support. But they still could make it.
Meta-defining.

This completely wrecks nearly every single one of the current tier 1 and 2 decks ... except Warrior.
Because heaven forbid we should ever do anything to upset Dr. Boom.

And don't forget that you can get a lethal from nowhere with this in wild with our good ol' friend Old Murk-Eye.
Crazy good.
