Seems like a fair card and playable, but nothing crazy powerful just yet. Is Paladin getting a Beast sub theme now too? I know this expansion has a bunch of Beasts already previewed so maybe the whole expansion is Beast themed because of the being in the Desert thing?
I think if the quest is playing 1 Health minions, this will be an auto include because you get 3 in 1 card.
Compare that to loot hoarder and you'll see that it is at least decent.
Loot Hoarder is run to cycle through the deck faster. This is more of a value card. But a bigger version of Acornbearer is unlikely to work in Paladin. The Druid card has synergies with both the Druid AOE buffs, and with Wispering Woods. Paladin doesn't have these.

I think, as you said, there just happen to be a lot of bugs in the desert, and bugs are usually Beasts. I doubt it's a Paladin thing.

Well it is better than using your hero power on turn 2 for sure, but will token 1-health Paladin become a thing? Druid have board buffs which Paladin doesn't and there is no new Fungalmancer yet, so I guess the aim is to hand buff with Glowstone Technician and Farraki Battleaxe, but hand-buff never proved popular.

Works well with Twilight Drake, and probably Sea Giants too.
Glowstone Technician also comes to mind.

This card is insane I can't believe most people think it's just "playable"
Compare to acorn bearer this costs 1 more mana but all 3 minions have +1 that's huge.
