It doesn't necessarily have to be on an empty board the turn you play it, you had 3 turns before to clear the board and a turn after it's dropped to mop up anything else, as a Shaman it isn't that much to ask.
If it gets removed after it's dropped, well big whoop, it's only a 4 mana card and you aren't really gonna cry about losing it.
I have the impression this card would be ok even if he had 5 health. Is decent, can see some play, but I try my best to stay away from unnecessary random
I feel like this is only good on an empty board, but even then opponent can respond to it before you can even use it.
-nttArc
They HAVE to respond to it though, which is nice.
Turn 4 this, turn 5 Dark Iron/Defender of Argus (or 2x rockbiter/2x abusive for lethal if their board is somehow empty) and you were luck enough to have that hand), turn 6 fire elemental would be brutal.
Clever design. With a bigger focus on Windfury for Shaman plus great early removal, their early game is looking stronger.
Yea I went from excited about this card, to disappointed(when I read the drawback), to a little middley groundy now. I hate RNG, but considering this is on the more controllable side of things I don't mind it as much. I can definitely see this getting some play, the 5 attack means it removes a lot of problematic minions, the overload 1 can buff unbound, but isn't ridiculous like earth elemental and the windfury means it can do some serious damage if left unchecked.
I'm really liking the 2 shaman cards they've revealed. I hope we get at least 1 other card that interacts with overload in some way.
I don't like this card. It's a stat flipped yeti with windfury. Sure it technically costs 5, but you get windfury value. That's 10 to face or remove any 3 drop and 5 to face. Or remove a 3 drop and a 4 drop. I mean literally seems like it was made as a counter to yeti in some ways.
But I think this card is overall balanced, aside from it it's played it will be a major annoyance on the board.
Turn 4 drop this. They turn 4 yeti. Turn 5 kill their 3 drop, then yeti. That's worth at least 6 or 7 mana I think. but I guess if you attack the 3 drop and it hits the yeti it's a fair trade. I don't know.
Good play on turn 4 when your Unbound is already down. That 50% thing hurts the windfury bit quite a lot, when you'd like to attack face then trade. Hitting tiny or too big of minions would be infuriating.

I agree. In arena, this card is going to be absolute garbage. However, in constructed, I can see some powerful aggro decks being built around shaman's new windfury early game.
It'll happen, but not all that often. So many 2 & 3 attack cards out there. If you can manage to trade for two cards over the course of 2 turns instead of 3, you're way ahead that you would be with a yeti.

Who even plays Yeti? Only deck that does that is Mid Range Druids which are pretty rare, and with all these fancy new cards being released I think Yeti will see even less play. If you are talking about Arena then fair enough.
I'd be happy if you had to use removal on this, because it's a relatively small investment and Shaman has plenty of ways to get in burst damage without this card, it's just another threat that must be answered. The fact that it can mostly kill Sludge or Loatheb is important to note, if you have other ways to remove their response on turn 5 it's even better.

The 3/3 for 5 that heals 8 health. It's neutral, but will be really good as a one off in shaman imo.

Recruits? What? No one plays Paladin.
EVERYONE! SHHHHHH, is all ogre now...
This card is technically a 5 mana 5/4. It won't stay alive and even if it does won't do enough.
Good against yeti in arena. This seems like a good arena card.

This card confirms blizzard's intentions of making shaman a much more aggressive class. Holy shit.

This is actually a really great zoo counter...
Feels a little lackluster compared to Ogre Ninja. The overload and windfury are a bit irrelevant.
Thanks FOO(The Banner God)!
damn, dunemaul shaman brings me back. i remember farming them for mageweave to level tailoring. /nostalgia
The overload and windfury are for aggressive tempo, not value.
I actually like the overload cost as it gives unbound elemental yet another card to buff it up(i've always thought this card has potential)
edit: speaking of ogre ninja - i got ninja'd on the post above. Sorry for the repeat.
