Interesting how it might get past Taunts and Stealth, but even then, it's a random chance. And even if it does, it still might not attack the wrong enemy you are looking for. Decent stats for a 5 cost but not a very reliable card. It's fascinating but I don't think it's very good overall.
Guys, I think this Ogre is trying to pretend it's a tree. ;)
I was looking for a big minion to put into my tempo Rogue for a long time, I even tried Venture Co. I'm definitely going to try this in Tempo Rogue, no question. Can you imagine this thing coined out on 4? No way any 5 or 6 drop can deal with it, and if it hits face, wellp, that's one less swing I'll have to take later, he's probably around 15 health now and in lethal range.
Solid but not great card. Best when played on-curve (where its stats more or less guarantee that it will get a kill and/or hit on face and survive).

Not exactly reliable in in capacity at all actually.
When every outcome is positive, you get a reliably positive outcome - even if you don't know which one you're getting.
So when you randomly attack that Emperor Cobra or Sylvanas Windrunner instead, is that a good outcome? The point is there won't be many situations where every outcome is positive.
If I'm going to play a minion against Emperor Cobra at all, I would much rather play one with stealth than one it can pick off before I can do anything with it. Or is Ancient of War also a bad minion? I mean it dies to Emperor Cobra and get stolen by Sylvanas as well - and it has a higher cost.

Do you know what that means? It means the RNG will be a negative factor as well in most cases. And if you want to go there, a card like Ancient of War doesn't have the chance to randomly attack the wrong enemy.
It's great to see this card is receiving mixed reviews. This means that it is not an obvious "good" or "bad" card designed with flavor, not mentioning the great art. It's both making games more fun for new players and more challenging for competitive players.
I believe this card has great potential to be played in constructed in new kinds of tempo rogue deck getting some help from the new rogue spells combining the traditional rogue removal set. In arena I think it's still a reasonable pick just for its crazy stats.
I thought it said "Stealth 50%. Chance to attack the wrong enemy"
Followed by an internal monologue of "How the hell do you have 50% stealth. That would be some scary shit, half an ogre walking around and then you get hit in the back of the head with an invisible stick"
This will see play in arena for that value it's big enough the opponent has to deal with it and will have impact. Downside is that you will be unable to trade to remove a potential lethal by your opponent. But arena is essentially 50/50 anyway so it's not really a massive issue.
The Rogue archetype this will see play in is probably the mech centric tempo with this as a midgame Rag type with a board clear with blade flurry or similar the turn after enabling a 100% chance of a face hit. Your opponent then has to deal with a 6/6 from his hand on turn 6/7 and figure out how to play something to the board as well.
This is a massive Tempo card it doesn't really matter what it hits. The only minions that kill it that it doesn't kill are very limited. Innervate minions are probably the exception but even then it's still tempo neutral in most cases.
Ambusher is different because the negative is a huge tempo hit your trading a possible bad tempo for a possible good tempo which is not a trade its just a crap card and tempo neutral. Its a tempo negative card in way to many cases. Where this will be a tempo positive card even if it doesn't hit the thing you want it to you still have 6 mana to deal with what you need to.
Can someone please clarify, if the opposing player has a taunt creature (with a few others), will the ogre ninja hit the taunt creature or just any other target at random?

50 chance that it'll attack the taunt and then 50% divided by amount of other creatures+hero.
Seems to be an inefficient card against decks who swarm the board with small minions unless you have a blade flurry in your hands to clear the board.

There is a 50% chance that you will hit the minion you target (the taunter), and a 50% chance that you hit some other enemy. The other enemy does not need to have taunt nor does it need to be targetable (i.e. the Ogre can potentially hit stealthed minions).

There are some points why you run removal/saps or maybe silences in deck. To protect your minions. And tbh when Sylvanas steal him or some weaker minion from you there you have good outcome, because she stole little stronger magma rager or minion, who isn't that important. Cobra is actually more threatning, but here you have dagger + backstab/deadly poison for example. And you can always wait with attack until you kill Cobra.

Yes, but that is true of any high mana cost minion (except Geddon or Dread Infernal).
AHAHAH I just laugh so hard the first time I saw that card, an ogre ninja fighting with twigs WTF ?! If it was not from you flux I wouldn't have believe that it was a fake card.
No, the sticks are for stealth. Look at the card closer. Can't you tell he is just trying to be a tree? The fog helps, but it's still a fat tree. XD
Btw, his real weapons appear to be equipped on his back.
This card takes "Value" to a whole new level.

It is of quality within which desired actions are not measured?
Shouldn't it be the case the desired function of a card be measured in quality.
IMO one of the strongest cards released so far
Just my 2 cents
I predict to be very strong in both arena and constructed

I read this wrong the first time.

Interesting. The RNG makes this card good and bad at the same time. I don't think it's that great, but it may have a place in a few decks.

No lying, I am considering playing this card just because of the art.
and emoting as I play it.
and saying oops everytime I attack
this is gonna be gud
