I know that this was nerfed to deny combos with Pandas/Bankers, but imho the devs should have increased her stats as well.
Control Shudderwock won't be hit from this nerf that much. This will be most likely the new fatigue deck. I can't believe how the devs didn't touch Omega Devastator. I guess we have to endure playing against 3 or 4 Vilespine Slayers for 2 1/2 more months.
Well, now Control Warrior is an insta win for Control Shaman, lets see how this affect the meta. Warriors will try to be greedier or add better finishers like Mecha'thun.
Im just afraid what others members of hearthpwn are saying. Keep a bouncer plus Elysiana and win the match if you have the coin. This season i played a lot of Control Warrior and its really easy to save the coin in the mirror. I hope this mirror match get decided with a flip coin, literally

What is ok, shaman have much less consistency to deal with treats than warriors, you don't find 14 damage 4/5 minion from your hero power and can't stock 87 armor in every game.
For tournament, nothing will change though. Warrior Mirrors will still be long since fatigue damage may become relevant again. But they also nerfing Rogue, we'll see more Hunters, they're kinda favor against warrior.
As a person who actually likes Control Warrior (sue me), I think this is a good change. At least now there's a realistic chance mirror games don't end in a tie when turn limit strikes, and frankly CW still might wanna utilize Brewmasters for bouncing strong Battlecries (Omega Devastator, Owl or BGH).
And on a plus side, at the very least now there's ONE thing Control Shaman does better than CW!
Decent round of nerfs; this card got the best treatment. She still contains the same text and activates the same value and gameplan for the type of deck she is in. Honestly this card needs to serve as an example, Devs, so I hope you are all reading and watching. This is how you nerf a card correctly.
I just went through the comments of the new Regis youtube video and I saw someone mentioning Odd Warrior getting a buff in wild.
Now, I don't think that this archtype will be that strong immediately after the nerfs (Big Priest will benefit from Kingsbane Rogue's absence the most), but if the priest deck gets weakened one day, then warrior players will have a reason to be happy there. Increasing Elysiana's cost to 9 makes that deck stronger against other control ones, so Odd Warrior gets a strong tool in that MU.
They could give her a special treatment of " this battlecry can be activated once per game" Shaman can still use her again but I guess Blizzard is aware of that and since control shaman is weaker they want to give shaman something unique they can do.
Good nerf though, the claim that with the coin you win the mirror is probably a meme I doubt many people will run a panda to win the mirror 50% of the time.

Depends how much mirrors will be around...
20% of the matches? Don't deserve the slot.
60% of the matches? Of course.
Vs other decks you can bounce a 4/5 to kill another thing.

Control is not viable in wild till Blizz nerfs Barnes/big priest. You can't outvalue big priest's insane late game of diamond spellstones and resurrects. Only aggro has a chance by rushing them down by turn 6/7 before diamond spellstones just wins the big priest. Barnes will win big priest turn 4 in many games as well. Odd Warrior wouldn't run Elysiana anyway, useless vs. aggro and big priest anyway.

Everyone will cash out and get their 1600(3200) dust back. Dead card, Warriors will just run bombs instead, including boom master.
This change is irrelevant, Control Warrior isn't good because of Archivist Elysiana and if you think about it for a minute the card is only relevant on the mirror, on no other match-up is she even needed, let alone needed to be played twice (It was also good vs Control Shaman which btw can now outlast Control Warrior) so this nerf effectively changes nothing. Yes, the Warrior mirrors are not gonna be 1 hour long and go till the max turns and end up on a draw but for every other MU in the game Control Warrior still plays the same slow game and as I said, for almost any other MU Archivist Elysiana was borderline useless, like you almost never got to the point of actually needed her or her being relevant at all.
Control Warrior has other problems like Dr. Boom, Mad Genius, the card is just insane, it wins games on its own, the difference between games where you play Dr. Boom on curve and not is ridiculous, you get 2 very OP hero powers on 7 armor and discover a mech, 2 decent ones in summon 3 1/1s with rush and 3 damage ping and only 1 bad one in deal 1 to all enemies and on top of that all of your mechs get rush, this paired with cards like Omega Assembly, Omega Devastator and Dynomatic are what make Control Warrior super strong and absolutely disgusting to play against, not fricking Archivist Elysiana a card that makes longer an already long af and miserable mirror and that's irrelevant in the other 99% of the match-ups.
Discuss!

TBH I'm pretty neutral on this nerf. I don't think it's a bad change but I'm not certain if it was needed.
Warrior is a problem, not this card. But those idiots crying everywhere about their stupid mirror match got her.
Elysiana + coin = rank 1 legend.jpg
I never used her anyway. Looks like I'm dusting Archivist Elysiana for a Barista Lynchen on the 22nd.
Good deal. Thanks Blizz.
4/3/19 RIP Keith Flint. 😔

I don't think this nerf was necessary, to be honest. I'll take it though, since I got a golden Elysiana for my pre-order.
Free dust!

Shaman and Priest can still do the combo.

How can priest seance it?

My hard counters are aggro things like Zoo Warlock in standard and Baku Paladin in wild so this change doesn't affect me at all. (60%+ win rate decks)
Though I understand there are people who have a hard time versus control so yay that they got a victory?
Not sure if hyped yet.
