The name says it alt: Snow BROKEN Robot.... A monster, stronger than the usual first sight impression too.
This shits in Warrior, druid and rogue's face early game. Also makes Ice Lance better.
A very strong tempo card.
Warrior gets to attack first. So he gets frozen... He still kills it with half use of a weapon. It's just a 2/3. There are a million ways to deal with it.
All of these class specific mech 2-drops are easy to deal with, and really all 2-drops in the game (except Millhouse) for that matter, are easy to deal with. So the argument over whether a 2-drop like this is good or not should depend on what it does if it lives. Funny enough part of the value of this card is that even if it dies to a weapon, or bigger minion kills it and lives, you will still gain the consolation prize of a freeze, which can be significant, though often won't be. If the card lives it will be a threat just by being out because of a possible turn four Goblin Blast Mage.
I think its cool that each class will probably get a strong 2-drop mech with this new set. That, on top of each classes mech rare, makes each classes mech decks different. Can't wait for this set!
Yes most 2-drops die easy (not Haunted Creeper for example), but the upside on this minion is weak compared to other two drops already in the game like Mad Scientist, Knife Juggler, Sunfury Protector, and Sorcerer's Apprentice. I don't see this card being played over them outside of mech synergy.
Honestly, for most match ups I think the freeze makes this card very useful in late game as opposed to other two drops (Mad Scientist notwithstanding) because it basically threatens ice lance unless the opponent deals with it. You usually need frost bolt or water elemental to do ice lance combos, and depending on the match up you may have already played those. This card adds an extra level of redundancy with a much less threatening body (read: your opponent may ignore it). I think it's solid.
Of the 2 drop class minions revealed, I'd say this lil guy is the arguably the weakest of them yet. However, that's not to say this guy is bad by any stretch. He's actually a very good 2 drop. A 2 cost 2/3 is already good. The freeze just makes him a bit better. However, compare to these.
All of these guys I'd argue are overall superior to Snowchugger. Does that make Snowchugger bad? Not at all. But unlike the others, his value is somewhat niche and hard to capitalize on. If he can stop a weapon user before he dies, Snowchugger is arguably better than any of them. It's just getting to that point may prove tricky. I suspect he's good enough to see play in some interesting constructed decks.
2/3 for 2 with no text is not already good. Every 2-drop has at least something over this, so this card has to prove it has enough value over its 2/3 body to warrant inclusion. I agree that this card is probably worse than the 4 you listed, and I don't even see Anodized Robo Cub being used outside of mech synergy (and arena), so I would say the same for this card (though I don't think I'd take it in arena either).

I think it's insanely good in Arena, I'd certainly take it just to fill the mana slot and have a 2 mana minion with board impact in the late game - it's where I'd expect to see the card the most, in constructed I think it comes down to whether or not it's better than any of the other options in Face Mage for the Ice Lance proc.
I think having two viable 2 mana minions in Arena picks is going to be a big deal for aggressive classes because of the class card/mana distribution in Arena. That and it makes Ice Lance not an entirely shitty pick in Arena, and for that I really like the card design wise because it actually addresses a class specific problem in the game compared to shit like Goblin Auto-Barber which you can't even play on curve without Coin and tipping off your hand.
I think most of the cards spoiled have a huge ??? over them in constructed, but Arena wise this set is pretty cool and this is probably good enough to be considered in constructed for something niche.
2 mana cards are really important in arena, so I would take it for that reason sometimes, and obviously it's better than a crocolisk, but I may still take a bloodfen raptor over it. 3/2 is a lot better than 2/3 in arena.
I think this will be one of the meta call cards if weapon users become frequent, holding off that hammer vs shaman or death bite vs warrior can make a huge diffrence, but if its just hunter with weapon, then I guess it's not even good enough for slowing it down, as said before, vs many decks frost bolt and many other drops are better picks.
I don't think this is as amazing as everyone is making it out to be. Sure, the stats are good, and the effect is good, but not so much together.
The reason this effect is good on Water Elemental is that it has 6 health, and can swing into minions without dying. At 3 health, this is likely just going to trade with other 1-3 drops, and the effect becomes irrelevant.
At 2/3, it trades favorably, but I don't think there will be many scenarios in which this is significantly better than a River Crocolisk.
Best case (Effect wise) this runs into another 2/3, leaving them with a frozen 2/1 that you can ping next turn. Or, this guy Kamikaze's into a larger minion as a stall tactic. In either of these cases, Frostbolt would have been better.
This may be good as anti-weapon tech, or in a hyper aggro shell that just swings face and Ice Lances for the kill, but it will hardly be a ubiquitous 2 drop for mages. There are too many good cards at 2 mana.
Edit: This is a really good Arena Pick though, so there's that.
Like the water elemental isn't bad enough...
The ice lance synergy is real

I really want Pirates to be a playable theme.

Agreed. My opinion for now is this would only be in a mech matters deck, in which case I think it'll be good.
Trash tier after Blizz nerfed the name.

If there's good enough cards to make a mage mech deck, this is good if not it's just okay. It's great vs rogue and druid though.
omg what's the next ?!! Mini Doomguard pls o3o
i play hearthstone unironically
2/2/3 with battlecry: discard one card? Sure, heh.

I do agree with most people saying this card is not all that.
Water Elemental's effect is good. But without that high hp pool, it becomes far worse.
Snow Crusher is still going to be a annoying as hell for weapon classes though.

With the Mage hero power (or arcane missiles or arcane explosion), yes it is. 3/2 is less powerful in context than 2/3.
And yet no one plays Crocolisk... it's even a beast!
