I crafted a couple of Haunting Visions for my deck, I think now might be a good time to add the frog totems. They seem good at letting you be able to draw your spells, but are they really worth it?
I could add 2 x feral spirit or some other rare spell instead. The frogs do seem like they can put in work though and you can draw the exact things you want by casting a spell that is 1 cost lower. so when you play visions, you get a hex from the deck. could be life saving.
i am currently testign a control shaman deck that usees frogs and they are powerful. I don´t dare to release it ^^. And yes i draw exactly what i want using only the two spells i want of each mana slot (2-5). But it higly depends on the deck you build. Adding one spirit in control with only the 2hex and schemes plus one rain of frogs can be great.
shaman is not known for its excessive draw, so Spirit of the Frog pretty nice. you can easily draw 4 cards with them. and with Haunting Visions you can play a spell that costs (0) so you will draw your 1 cost cards and then start drawing all over again.
also, they help you draw your Hagatha's Scheme earlier, and it is best to get those cards as fast as possible. so they are definitely worth experimenting with
I only play Spirit of the Frog in Wild in my heavy aggro deck, where I can fit a lot of 0-1-2-3 mana spells and chain the draws easily and consistently. It's not worth it in other archetypes imo, Mana Tide Totem is just better or even Gadgetzan Auctioneer (that should tell how bad the spirit is in control shaman) .

and haunted pulls a hex from the deck. it's so cool.
no, I already know what goes in control shaman, I'm interested in knowing what other people think as well. This is the purpose for my card discussion posts.
I find it beneficial to converse and come up with ideas based off the thoughts of many, not just a few. You've got me all wrong.
nice bit of psychological projection there though, mate.
Feels like you'd run into some hand size issues post-Hagatha. In fatigue games, it's kind of a dead card.
yeah dude, the jury is still out. on one hand it can be great to get thing if you need them, but it might not be worth it. I need to test more games with it first really. I think maybe I would like to try 2 copies of far sight instead.
Far sight is the only draw you need in control Shaman imo and you don't lose tempo using it. Harrison too if you want more vs weapon users.
I've experimented using visions or far sight and far sight performs better imo. There's just too many bad discovers on visions. Who doesn't love a t5 hagatha either?
-Edit- Far sight is less good if you are going to use lot's of cheap spells/minions since you will lose tempo drawing those.
I like it in aggressive shaman decks (or Yogg Shaman in Wild) but not control. In control, you don't want to draw through your deck too quickly and outside of tutoring for certain spells when you really need them, I'd almost always rather have something else in my hand as a control player.

I need to try far sight next. I might just craft a single copy over getting the second brew for now to test it out. visions it great with the frog totem though as you can tutor a hex from the deck with it. You can also set up a pretty cool draw chain to thin the deck out and draw into your big cards.
of course theres no right or wrong way to do it. I do like the look of far sight though for the exact reason you mentioned. If you can discount one of your big guys it opens up more possibilities.
I got a portal from a lackie earlier (the warlock one) so it allowed me to play some discounted stuff, was pretty cool. ha ha.
I'm still testing stuff out anyway to get the best set up for me. I have a feeling I will go down to one frog totem though.

yeah I don't have all that much I draw with them really, it's just to help you get hold of spells you might need. this is why I might just have one over 2 in the deck. I'm testing out two for now though.
I do reckon you can do without them as well, but you might want to have far sight as well as visions in that case.

yeah I was gonna say dude. far sight is better in your deck as you have more prime targets, for me it's bound to hit zap every time :D
thanks for adding that edit man, I may have ended up crafting one. ha ha.

Rejoice, for even in death, you have become children of Thanos.
Personally I don't like it in Control, but I can see some people opting to run 1.

Couldn’t you just go look on website to see what cards are in control shaman instead of asking if You should put it in your deck. Are you that lazy.
