Considering crafting shuderwok to finally get to use it in a way I think I might enjoy it. Is being ran in some murloc decks with dual hagatha's and scargil, and also 2 x henchclan hags (the rest is pretty standard murloc stuff, other than the single copy of Belligerant Gnome)
I will be adding the barista to mine for even more meme magic, but this is besides the point.
I'd like some advice, please.
I will do what I want anyway, but I value the opinions of the community, so I always like to ask before making purchases on things I sporadically decide I want when I wake up.
I already have most of the stuff, I just need to craft the hero Hagatha (AKA OG-Hag), the shuderwok in question and the henhclan-beauties (I will certainly be holding of on the hench-clan hags though I think until I'm really sure whats going on, although they have synergy with shuderwok, Young G - Hag and Starbucks Sheila)
TBH I don't think I could actually craft 2 epics and 2 legendaries right now, but I could certainly swing the 2 legendaries for the deck.
I seen this on Hs-replay and it looks pretty tasty to me.
The deck looks fun, but it really doesn't feel like the proper deck for Shudderwock. I can't really say "Don't make it you won't have fun with it" because people have fun with different things, but just going off of the stats of the deck, playing the card makes you more likely to lose than win.
That being said, I've always liked Shudderwock, and both Hagatha, especially the hero card, are great and so if you do plan on playing any form of slowish shaman deck, I would recommend making both of them. I've had a good time playing with Control Shaman and due to them having a hero card while most classes do not, I do feel like Shaman is going to be a strong class for most this year and thus, be a safe class to craft stuff for.

yeah that's the thing. if I get these cards it gets me closer to playing some of the other shaman stuff, too. that stuff interests me, but always been too far out of my reach. I already have the new hagatha, so I may just craft the hero card for now.
I have the barista as well, so maybe I can run her instead of shuderwok as she still manipulates battlecry minions and also gives me more fuel to re-fill the board.
do you have any examples of other shaman decks I could play with these cards please that are current?
EDIT: I had a look at Big Shaman. does it need Ysera? I had that card and dusted it as I have literally never used it, ever and had never found a use for it. Ala'kir seems like am amazing craft anyway and is a card I want to get at some point.
then theres the epic spells. I don't have any of them yet, but can start to collect them for later on.
is this even a good deck do you think, or did you mean more like control shaman?
EDIT: 2 I could actually build a control shaman. do you think that elektra is needed for that? another card I had and dusted due to not ever playing shaman back then. ha ha.
I have no issues re-crafting cards though tbh. I should be starting a new job soon so can start buying packs again. then I can make a go at having a more rounded collection. ha ha.
I might build a control shaman then as I do need a cntrol deck.
I could use a lot of those overload cards in a different murloc deck as well. only legendary I need is elektra for that. I would probably rather craft the hagatha hero though tbh.
Barista is probably great in aggro/murloc shaman. I use Barista in my lackeylock and she's amazing in it. Murloc shamans have some lackeys too, in addition to a few useful battlecry murlocs. I wonder if it would hurt to add some other aggressive battlecry minions in there like Lifedrinker over some of the weaker murlocs?
I remember seeing Shudderwock being run in some quest shaman lists in the past to get a second Megafin and stuff. I think the reason he has a low winrate in murloc shaman right now is a bit skewed though, not because he's a bad card in it necessarily. I think it's because if you haven't killed your opponent already by turn 9, your chance of winning is gonna be low anyway, so dropping Shudderwock is like a last ditch effort that could help you win, and if you lose after playing him you were probably gonna lose anyway

Personally, I myself am not a huge fan of Big Shaman, but I've never gotten the chance to play it myself to really see if it's strong or not. I do not think that Y'sera is a must-have for the deck and is mainly there to beat up control decks as you'd get several copies of her out and just outvalue them. Al'Akir is kind of in a similar spot where it doesn't feel necessary and in my opinion, Walking Fountain is a significantly better card than it anyway.
As for replacing Shudderwock with the Barista, I feel Shudderwock is significantly better due to the fact you do not need them played at the same time to make them strong. Given the state of control anyway, Elysiana is one of the most important cards to have in the match-up and it is difficult to get a copy of her with the Barista as opposed to Shudderwock.
I have played a fair bit of control shaman this expansion so far (my list is the first spoiler) and I've had fairly good results with it. It does use some of the shaman epic spells but in my opinion, these aren't really a must have in the deck and you can replace them with just other non-battlecry draw cards. As for Omega Medic, this card is pretty important because it just adds an excessive amount of heal with the addition of Hagatha's Scheme and I'd recommend trying to have either the omega medics or Witch's Brew.

Sorry that these decks kind of stray away from the whole murloc theme, I just feel that murloc shaman is too fast to incorporate a 9 mana legendary that doesn't win the game. Hope this helps.

Big Shaman is my control deck of choice right now. It's lots of fun, and I've stabilized so many times against extremely aggressive rogue and druid onslaughts with Rain of Toads, Walking Fountain, and a copy of Witch's Brew. I don't think Ysera herself is necessary because she's inconsistent (the amount of times I've only gotten laughing sisters....), but the deck needs a certain amount of cards that are both good when summoned as a 5 mana 4/4, and good when Eureka!'d out, and there aren't very many in standard right now.

thanks man. yeh I think I'm gonna hold off on shuder.
barista is really good IMO and totally slept on. I have another murloc deck that runs the rats as well so has a bit of lackie stuff going on.it also runs carpets and stuff though, it's actually really cool (in fact regis just uploaded it yesterday to here)
I'm actually thinking now more about building a control shaman becauser it usesw stuff like OG hagatha that I want to craft anyway, and thunderheads.
that way I get access to a new deck, but also get to craft some cards that I want to try in murlocs too.
I posted to links above mate if you could look at tham and let me know which one you think is better. (I'm leaning towards the hagatha one, but I won't be able to craft harison jones for it. do you think not having harsion will hurt the deck a lot?)
the elektra one looks good, but I can't use elektra half as much as i can hagatha as she will go in my murloc decks and stuff as well.
both run thunderheads though and I really like thunderheads. ha ha
I also posted another thread just on this subject as I didn't think people would pick up on this sub topic here.
hopefully someone that knows their sh*t can help on the control shaman front anyway.
PS: I'm working on a shuffle rogue that runs barista. it's essentially a togaggle/lackie deck, but a lot more crazy.

yeah, big looks amazing, but it's way more expensive than regs control shaman. I will have a lot of the stuff for it soon, but I still need those 6 epic spells.
I could probably put one together if I crafted a few of the spells and stuff. but I reckon if I just build a dual hagatha control shaman, I can use a bunch of the cards for murloc decks as well.
then in turn some of these cards are in big shaman, so I'm closer to that deck as well, only needing to really craft the epic spells.
I never ever dust cards only hof ones lol ONE day the cards u dusted will be useful then u will cry on here on why u have dust it now spend more dust on a card u could have already had🤷♂️.

I learned this a while ago, so I don't tend to mention dusted cards too often any more. ha ha.
I only dust the goldens because I never get a golden I want. I would rather craft cards I do want. to me a golden is just a choice of cards.

Harrison Jones can pretty much always be replaced by an Acidic Swamp Ooze. If we look at the weapons you'll most likely be destroyed, it's either a Waggle Pick, Wrenchcalibur, Likkim, Supercollider or Headhunter's Hatchet. Since most the time you play a weapon and then attack with it, you'd be getting 1 card from two of the three weapons seeing a lot of play. 5 mana 5/4 destroy a weapon and draw 1 or 2 cards occasionally is worse than a 2 mana 3/2 that can destroy a weapon occasionally in my opinion.

you think it is a good deck? I have only ever played control warlock, so I am not very familiar with control decks to be able to asses it very well on my own.
of those 2, would you say that's the best one for me because I wanted to craft hagatha over elektra, please?

you are supposed to play shudderwok to refill the board btw. you use it if you get board cleared, once you have played enough of your battlecries. I wanna add the barista to the mix to potentially create more battlecries. I think grumble worldshaker possible worked like this in the past in the old shudderwok decks? only I am making copies, not taking them out of play.
I'm sure it will be at least a load of fun. I know it will get punished by some of the popular decks, but it will be fun and it doesn't have bad winrates.
I could craft the control deck and winfarm the aggro decks on ladder, but really I don't know if that is the most fun thing for me to do. I already have a few decks and they;re all pretty good, so crafting fun and rediculous stuff is probably more of a good idea now.
also, I will only be a few cards away from the control deck anyway. I need the thunderheads, the one epic heal from this set and a couple of rares.
It might be a smarter move to actually craft these cards instead of going all in on shuderwok and the hench-clan hags. certainly less dust as well.
This is my dilemma really. do I want to craft the silly thing, or the sensible thing :D
I'd probably have enough to get decent amount of control tools as well for the same amount of dust.. and also some of the overload stuff can be played in murloc decks, so this is definitely the smarter move I think.
Still though playing a ridiculous meme-murloc deck that is actually somewhat viable seems like a great idea too. ha ha.
What would you do? I'm not asking for advice, just what would you choose in a situation like this?
Considering crafting shuderwok to finally get to use it in a way I think I might enjoy it. Is being ran in some murloc decks with dual hagatha's and scargil, and also 2 x henchclan hags (the rest is pretty standard murloc stuff, other than the single copy of Belligerant Gnome)

Sorry that these decks kind of stray away from the whole murloc theme, I just feel that murloc shaman is too fast to incorporate a 9 mana legendary that doesn't win the game. Hope this helps.
I don't have something witty about this deck, I just like it because Malygos is fun.
When one of your golden legendaries is golden barista
Barista works on battleecries on field right not in hand right
sorry I misread your comment. GZ on that pull man. golden barista would be a keeper.
yeah, big looks amazing, but it's way more expensive than regs control shaman. I will have a lot of the stuff for it soon, but I still need those 6 epic spells.
I could probably put one together if I crafted a few of the spells and stuff. but I reckon if I just build a dual hagatha control shaman, I can use a bunch of the cards for murloc decks as well.
then in turn some of these cards are in big shaman, so I'm closer to that deck as well, only needing to really craft the epic spells.
yeah. she makes a copy of all battlecry minions on the board.
I don't have something witty about this deck, I just like it because Malygos is fun.
sorry I misread your initial comment.
gratz on golden barista. is a good one for golden card value.
thanks.
you think it is a good deck?
