This card is not going to be played because Hunter is not going to be played next expansion LUL
Yeah, I am not very hopeful. Hunter lost its amazing early and mid game , does not have the control tools to go up against other classes which are more suitable for this. We'll see. I'll be switching to Rogue or Shaman anyways as those look way more fun to play with the new cards.
Because this is in the hunter spell pool, it will be nice to get this from a Discover effect, but I would never play this in my deck normally. It does weaken the Spell Hunter archetype a bit, because normally you rely on spells to generate minions so this does nothing for you.
This does work well with DK create a zombeast hero power for even more late game value, but even in Wild, I would not play this card. If I get it from a random Discover effect, I would take it though.
Seems to weaken the Discover hunter spell pool on purpose. Might be ok in Arena for generating more value, but taking a turn off is bad in Arena to 'draw' a bunch of beasts only works if you already have the board or your opponent took the turn off to do nothing.
This card will be played in slower beast hunter builds, not the current "midrange" aggro builds. It will be used to give you 3-5 extra late game beasts(such as King Krush or Oondasta) to outvalue other slower decks.
I played a combo with Emeriss -> 14/14 Oondasta + The Beast Within -> 16/16 King Krush + 14/14 Charged Devilsaur.
With the rotation of Charged Devilsaur, Hunting Party gives you the other big charger(s) that you need for this 30+dmg burst.
In short: I love it!
Additionally, Hunter now seems to have much more survival than before.
