Flamewaker of the set, this card is kind of nuts good.
It’s nowhere near the power level of flamewaker.
I agree, I predict this card is actually bad and I say people are SEVERELY overlooking the difference between dealing 2dmg and 1dmg. There's also a big difference between 3hp for 2mana and 4hp at 3mana, it's actually easy to deal 3 but not 4 which is a huge part of why Flamewaker would often stick around when played on curve. Comparing the 2 cards in power level is a rookie mistake.
Like, this minion deals 1 damage to a random enemy minion. Unlike Flamewaker it can't hit the enemy's face and it does far less damage. Imagine how there is a 3 health minion on the opponent's board. You need to cast 3 whole spells to kill it, which just seems super weak. It's nowhere near as powerful as the aforementioned mage card.
So now, that we are all convinced, that this minion is weak, I have a small question - would the frog have been broken, if it cost 1 mana? I mean, tempo mage needs more 1-drops after losing Mana Wyrm, so why not?

I think it would have been fine at 1 mana. I can't believe they didn't at least make it a 1-4 or 2-3 with such a mediocre effect.

Tempo mage deck need desesperately a good 1 mana minion, but they nerfed the only one mage have and don't see any problem warrior have 2 and because of this the deck is hard countered by any half-assed warrior build.
I think the argument can be made that Mana Reservoir is the better card. Which is to say, both might be bad. Mana Reservoir reads "give your spells +1 damage" while Frog reads "Give your spells +1 damage to a single random minion." I actually think the fact that it can't go face is a big deal. It's meta dependent, but it might just be better to have your Shooting Star deal 2 to all minions than to deal 1 to all +1. In a world where Mage has ping, is Dart Frog unnecessarily redudant? I don't know.
At the point where I'm playing either, maybe Celestial Emissary is the better card anyway.
Mana Reservoir is an excelent minion for any class can make a good use of spell damage, the only one better is Thalnos, x2 in all my rogue decks, I think is massively underrated.

I still stand by this.
The frog also works with non-damage spells, but that barely matters for mage, unfortunately.
I am slightly angry about this card, as it was such a wasted opportunity to make something cool that is just way underpowered.

How would you fix it?
I feel like a 1-mana, 1/3 is probably too good.
2-mana 2/3? Is that more reasonable?
