Solid card, but there's enough garbage hunter spells around that it probably won't be useful outside of a super aggressive beast hunter that wants lots of cheap minions anyway

Oh, Lethal - where did you go? I miss you all the time.
I mean it'll be the second 1 drop beast in a lot of different hunters decks, assuming nothing better comes out. It's not crazy or anything, but it's good .
Why would you fit this card only in spell Hunter ?
Because Crackling Razormaw is rotating and even if it wasn't - Springpaw is just superior. Because 1/1 can be pinged so easily by Mage/Rogue/Druid and contested by just Heropowering with Pala on 2. So, basically if you ever include it - you will do so, because of the Deathrattle, not because sheer stats and/or beast tag.

All this debate over Spell Hunter vs Beast Hunter is weird and wrong.
I think cards like this and Vereesa Windrunner point to a couple of different archtypes that have nothing to do with all-beast or all-spell. The support for those things is disappearing rapidly.
There will continue to be a midrange archetype that uses both spells and minions ... like Midrange Hunter usually does.
And there will be a Deathrattle (Mech) Hunter, which is shaping up to be pretty strong. "Mech" is in parentheses because it's focused more on the Deathrattles than the Mech aspect, and some may even try to do without any Mechs at all.

It's a 1 mana card... why should it be any quicker.
Babbling Book Don't know why your comment has so many likes when there is literally an equivalent of this card except it has battlecry (which makes it much much better)
Edit: Also, at least at time this card came out, Mage spells > Hunter spells
Sure, it has a beast tag, but is that really enough to make up for this massive loss in utility? Nope.
This doesn't do anything for me, but it may see play simply for it's beast tag and the loss of other early game options. Even then, if it does see play, it's like the 29th and 30th card in your deck.
Yeah Hunter will have pretty limited options in the early game so I can see this otherwise "meh" card seeing play.
In standard new staple hunter card for sure. In wild - depends of new hunter spells.
can't wait for the shimmerfly brawl, where you choose a class and get 10 random class spells and also your deck has 20 shimmerflies!

Babbling book is the best comparison.
Mage spells at that time were probably slightly better than hunter spells now so this card is pretty decent but not amazing.
It's probably playable but just bearly.
Problem is hunter is actually pretty good right now so there might not be space to fit this card.

Nah, 15 Spiders and 15 of this. So you will get minions and spells. Either way, extremely RNG and not fun at all.
