Agree, but I doubt that Pilfer makes it into a viable burgle deck.
The general rule of thumb is that you don’t play 2 cards who are bad by themselves, to make one good effect happen. But of course Rouge has many other tools to get other class cards.
Ok, WTF. What was the point of Year of the Raven? I thought the devs wanted to narrow down the power level of the cards and make a fresh new start. So far I have seen many polarizing cards (some extremely weak, others - strong) and the latter ones are in rogue.
2 mana Totem Golem with Rush and no Overload?! As a 2/3 it's meh, but not terrible, but once it gets buffed, it offers tremendous tempo. Like, how is this fair? And on top of it, rogue can deal 4 damage to a minion for 0 mana.
If you hadn't noticed, they're really toning down the power level of 2-drops (thank god...), and 2/3 seems to be the new standard of "decently stat'd 2-drop."
That's true. 2/3 is decent. I didn't express my thoughts quite well in my last post. I wanted to say, that as a vanilla stated minion, 5 stat points are ok. But since it can get an extra +1/+1 bufs and Rush, in order to make a trade, it gets ridiculous.
Let's forget about Pilfer for a moment. Let's assume, that rogue doesn't have a way to add a card from another class to their hand until turn 3. Playing a 3/4 minion on turn 4+ might feel fairer, but you have to consider the fact, that rogue still has 2 mana to spare. Those can be used to summon another 3/4 with rush, to summon another 2-drop or cast Eviscerate/Sap on a big threat. The cheap cost of the Underbelly Fence allows rogues to activate their combos while making an amazing board presence (the 3/4 statted minion will most likely do 2 for 1 trades). The tempo swing is just too big.
And I am not even going to talk about wild, where rogues have Swashburglar and can make a strong package with Patches the Pirate, Hench Clan Burglar, Underbelly Fence and Raiding Party.
Honestly this was the card that pushed Thief Rogue over the edge in my mind, I think it'll work now. Not that this will be the best card in the deck, but it is now enough to be consistent I think.

This card isn't bad though. On it's "own" (meaning without the activator) it's average, with the activator it's really good. With the activator on curve it's boder line OP. Pilfer isn't bad either. They are pushing burgle rogue pretty hard with a number of rogue's good burgle type cards rotating Pilfer fills an important spot. Pilfer WAS bad because we had access to better choices, after rotation it will be better.
Also the activation has a few different ways to get there. Granted all but one is essentially a combination of cards and one is pretty unlikely but the point is is that they exist. First you could (against a non-rogue) class Pilfer on 1 and play this on 2, the most likely and strongest scenario against any non-rogue. You could also Prep Academic Espionage on 1, draw into another class card on 2 and play this out (least likely to happen). Lastly you could Prep out Stolen Steel on 1 (which by the way guarantees another class's card even if you are playing another rogue) and play this on 2. Those are the ways I see to get this out on turn 2, the fact there are multiple ways to get there at all is quite strong.
This is to say nothing of how strong the card is off curve, which is still pretty strong.
So the only real argument I have against this card is this, against another rogue it's gonna be a vanilla 2/3. If burgle rogue ends up being super oppressive (cause of cards like this) then you'll play other rogue's a lot and the only way to activate this card is through Stolen Steel, which is a pretty meh card, even in burgle rogue.

Pilfer was crap but with new cards become auto-include in every rogue deck until rotation.
3/4 rush for 2 manas, 0 mana remove minion with 4 health is too good to be ignored.
The irony of this new cards is if the archetype become too strong and everyone play rogue and you only play vs mirrors then the archetype will be awful. :P
Please, I want to play burgle rogue, make the other classes very strong too.
Meta-defining. 3/4 with rush for 2 mana is insane. 2/3 for 2 mana is still fine. It's become clear that they are finally making holding other classes cards a strong mechanic.

Can we talk about this art. Wtf is this pose. Where is her waist?
Yeah. I don't understand the image.
No waist... and her legs?
She's 'down on one knee' (for want of a better way to describe it). Her left leg is easy to follow just to the right of the bag, while her right leg is lined up so we can only see the part below the knee. You might find it easier to visualise if you compare it to the art for Aranasi Broodmother, whose pose is fairly similar.
This pose is always a bit tricky to draw clearly, especially with the cartoon-ish style already messing with proportions.
It seems to be unknown, but if you have tri class cards from gadgetzan in hand (aya blackpaw, jade spirit, lotus agents) this and vendetta will be active!
The tri class cards seem to be coded as druid, shaman and rogue card at the same time. They do work with tess and give cutlass a charge.
So enjoy your 2 mana 3/4 rush on curve, and 0 mana eviscerate for board control in wild :)

Okay, the proportions are cartoonish, I can accept that. But her waist isn't only cartoonishly small, it's aligned with her left leg, while being roughly the same size. Which means she'd have her entire torso weigth situated on left leg, with right leg sticking out.

Tess Rogue = tier 1, maybe the most supported preexisting deck in the new expansion
fuck yea
Oh, Lethal - where did you go? I miss you all the time.
Have you seen token druid recently?
Occasionally gives helpful advice.
Yeah. I don't understand the image.
No waist... and her legs?
This is a wild nightmare...
Tempo pirate rogue will be insanely good in Wild, maybe better than the excelents odd/even decks.

Why do many people compare this to the Aggro Shaman reign of terror? Tunnel Trogg gained much more benefit from playing Overload cards (e.g. Jade Claws, Totem Golem or Flamewreathed Faceless) than this card from playing stuff such as Pilfer (or god forbid, Preparation + Academic Espionage on turn 1 just to enter topdeck mode...)
The condition is harder to meet and without the buff this card is nothing more than a river croc. I get that it's good but people hype it too much.

The middle of her body appears to be missing.
