Witchwood Piper already exists in standard, and Paladin never really ran that, so I doubt this would ever see play, since this seems worse than that card, as the stats are delayed a turn, where Witchwood Piper draws a card, and puts a 3/3 in play, for just one more mana.
Let's see...
This tutor Geppeto increasing heavily your chances to draw he first, Geppeto draw two minions costing 9 or 10 manas on curve...
The question is...
Will have high cost minions to make this strategy good?
More interesting than the card itself is the reaction of the commenters in this thread. This is a great psychological study of the human condition. Some of those who replied...
- are eager to express that it isn't as good as it seems and "won't see play"
- want to dismiss some of its effects (e.g. "the +2/+2 doesn't matter")
- want to dismiss its ability to boost Keleseth decks
- acknowledge that Witchwood Piper is different (costs more, doesn't provide a buff), while simultaneously arguing that it's the "same" and won't see play since Piper doesn't see play
- are making obvious statements concerning situations where it won't work (or about decks where it won't it fit)
Guys, this card does A LOT of things (especially in the Wild format). Many people seem to be more interested in predicting the success/failure of this card or "being right" than actually trying to figure out how to make the most of it.
slow for what? ... oh i forgot that every deck in this game is an aggressive one with a 1,2,3, curve ... this card is really good for prelate/undatakah decks
I would love to make a Prelate deck work with this card.
But there is a bigger problem here. Without Spikeridged Steed, or Val'anyr, what buffs does Paladin have now?
Kings. That's really it. (Glowstone Technician? Too slow. The new Dragon buff card? Only for dragons.)
I was expecting some buff cards this expansion. But if this is it, I don't see how you can make a Prelate deck work unless you get really, really lucky with the cards you draw. There just aren't enough buff cards left.

Agree, to make Prelate work it seems you would have to play a lot of situational cards , like maybe an Defender of Argus, the Lifestealspell or sound the Bells.
Not enough quallity by itself imo. And Blizzard didnt even gave us an aoe... :(
I want to play this in wild with Hemet, Jungle Hunter. 2 copies of this spell is going to make Shirvallah / Molten Giant decks (with of course Holy Wrath) very fun...
Shielded mini not approved
My thoughts exactly. Blizzard REALLY does not want aggro paladin to be a thing.
Worse than witchwood piper in most situations. Seems weak.
"Hey Pal, Trade Prince Gallywix here!"

I got the idea for a prismatic lens big paladin deck that's going to be godawful but fun and I'm sure I could fit this in.

Thankfully, Blizz waited for Hemet to rotate before releasing this one.

It's a tutor. It is a slow tutor but it is a tutor. Not sure if it will be any good.

the forgotten epics
Junkbot Frost Giant Luckydo Buccaneer Sea Reaver Darkspeaker Mini-Mage Blubber Baron Captain's Parrot Magnataur Alpha
Works well with Paragon of Light.
Can also produce a 3/3 Tiger if you have Spirit of the Tiger on board.
Playable card but not Meta breaking.
Rusty Recycler
Ironic. It could recycle others, but not itself.
The Glass Knight + new twin spell? Maybe a big paladin with this combo and Duel?
Does this count as a buff for Lynessa Sunsorrow or the quest?
