Easiest meta defining vote I ever made powerful deathrattles are just something that is bound to happen, currently the biggest deathrattle you can trigger in standard is 3 mana 7/7 draw a 2/2 mechanical whelp.
I feel like this card is overrated. It's so slow that by the time the minions deathrsttle you want to die has died it's not even worth it. I think wild is to fast to run something like this and deathrsttle Hunter in Wild doesn't have the luxury of holding a card for X turns and waiting for the right minions to die for this to work well. In Standard it seems awfully slow as well. A 2 star card for me.
Kathrena? I think Sylv might be the bigger option. Or Sneed's. Or Stalagg/Feugen. Or explosive sheep in an aggro matchup.
I do like this.
Sylvie relies too much on board presence and that there is something on the board you want to steal. Robut sheep is one I did not consider, big and beefy board clear for early to mid game.
How does everything hunter-related end up so cheap?!

Obviously a strong card, but for standard the strength really depends on the deathrattle pool. How long did it take deathrattle hunter to take of, even though play dead and terrorscale were already cards. You need a critical mass and with cube, egg and kathrina going out, I dont think this build will be anywhere near as good as midrange.
So for now, it is very good. More support and this will be meta defining in the future.
Also, please blizzard stop pushing archetypes we already played against for like a year. Push other stuff. Be creative.
There is no strong 1/2 mana deathrattle minions you want to trigger with this one. The only decent early minion is Spider Bomb, which will make it like a Deadly Shot with a card draw, which is very good. Of course it can trigger heavier deathrattle from heavier minions, but that comes much later in the game and you don't want for this card to be a dead card for numerous turns, if it's in your hand on turn 3, you want to play it and get value out of it, and that's the problem, there is no good 1/2 mana deathrattles you want to trigger it with.
So this card is quite slow and inconsistent atm, maybe that will change with introduction of new cards.
Eh? So it's a midrange/lategame card. This is like saying anything that costs more than 3 mana is a dead card for numerous turns. Just don't treat it as a Turn 3 play, like Omega Assembly etc. is a lategame card despite the mana cost.
That makes it a bad card though. Hunter isn't a class where you want to be holding a dead card for X amount of turns. It's too slow in deathrattle hunter or midrange hunter. It's just not good enough to see much play in Wild or Standard.

That makes it a decent card without a deck. There are decent - not top-tier, but decent - builds of control hunter you can get away with in Wild, depending on the metagame. Primary weakness for the deck being Big priest, but it's rare to see one deck as enough of the metagame to push the deck into nonviable. By your logic, 8 mana, get all three animal companions is a bad card, because if you draw it early, you're screwed,

Sylv is backbreaking when you do something like sylv/PD; having extras late, particularly to bring back with N'zoth? Sounds like my kind of thing. Unfortunately for explosive sheep, it's not great with just the deathrattle - half of the point of that card is that with PD or similar, you get a 4-damage AE, as it kills itself - 2 damage is okay, but not enough a lot of the time, though you could this, into sheep, play the sheep, and PD it. One of the two boardclears I run in Wild, the other being ghoul/toxic arrow, which I need to check still works after they tweaked some stuff (I've been on the silly Malygos deck trains for a bit, and however much I like MalyHunter, it's still a joke). How good Sylv is depends on the metagame and the deck, though, as always.

good for wild eggs
the possesion of Sneed's Old Shredder gives satisfaction even after 4 years - more than my exgirlfriend.
this will be nerfed, cc3 is insane
Super strong because it being a Discover. This is borderline broken.

Potentially insane in Wild if you run a list with Kathrena Winterwisp. Too bad the setup for that is still too slow to be great.
Standard it's potentially good if you run Spider Bomb, though.
How would mecha’thun cost 5?

Strong in wild but I don’t see too many good deathrattle minions in standard at the moment
In wild this is better than many legendary and just 3 mana seems a total joke hunters are happy
