The only way this thing would be good, if it gets divine shield for summoning itself, if not, then it's bad. But i love the flavour, wish it could have divine shield to stay one more turn on the table, but yeah.
As a Paladin player, I have to say this looks terrible. Play it on turn 5 and it dies instantly. Play it later with another Mech card to give it a divine shield and it still probably dies instantly. I can't see anyone ever getting to attack with this thing. Terrible stats. Why does Blizzard hate the Paladin so?
Edit: Unless it gets divine shield for summoning itself, then it's a little bit better.
Between Cobalt Guardian and Ancestor's Call, Blizzard might as well just be saying... we realize Shaman and Paladin are only moderately viable as tournament classes, let's keep it that way! Good job Blizzard, you got us... we'll make a game with 9 classes, but we'll only make a couple of them playable, you got us!
Like all other "whenever you summon a minion" or "whevenever you play a card" minions, it's safe to say that it won't get Divine Shield from itself, only from minions summoned after it.
I love this card. Haters gonna hate, but Paladin mech decks are gonna be awesome (toss in a few Mech Warpers and you've got this thing, plus a few smaller mechs all before turn 5)
I don't really understand... It gives the other mech divine shield? It gives itself divine shield when it is summoned? Or it gives itself divine shields whenever you summon another mech? I'm leaning towards the last one though.
u play senjin this turn then cobalt next turn quite good chance of survival
u play belcher this turn then cobalt and a 1 mana mech quite sticky in my opnion ...
Not sure why everyone wines if a card is not OP/Broken ... its like all they want is a "mere" 30/30 mega wind fury charge, untargetable, batlecry remove all minions on the board for 2 mana LOL.
Ben Brode LOVES paladin, and i think he is showing his prefered class some love ...
BTW dont forget that if you have a mechwarper alive this all comes sooner ... ;)
Even though it isn't clear, it could be possible that it gives itself Divine Shield. If that isn't the case... They need to do a little buffing to this card. Being able to take down a 5 drop with a 2 drop Minion is never okay.
I agree that keeping it alive the first turn is tricky (Mechwarper would be enormously handy here) but you basically are turning every mech afterward into Argent Protector. That's powerful! It might be too hard to pull it off, but this could be at least as good as Argent Commander.

the later ...
the wording says It obtains (gets/receives) divine shield instead of grant/give... but agrre that the wording is terrible :/

Really neat design and could allow for some insane trading. Generally, everytime you summon a mech you'll get a free fireball! I'm really digging this stat distribution as well, because it can still be killed by some light removal like frostbolts. Though, this card will only ever get value in a mech deck, I'd say. It's pretty much a buffed Magma Rager in arena or other decks.
it trades great with Wisp + Abusive Sergeant, insane... not sure why you would ever include this in your deck with all the superior 5 drops in the game... this literally might be the worst 5 drop in the game
it's not even so much that this card is crap, it's that the other post vanilla release class cards are so much better
it gives a reason to have 1 or 2 cost mechs in a plaladin deck which would make mech agroo iteresting. This card has too high cost for it's health but it can be really useful with blood knight

if it survives a turn, you play a small mech, kill something play another mech and restore divine shield, so it will almost always be a 3 to 1 ... if you analyse its potential, i´ll see a lot of people asking for the nerf bat to hit it LOL

I was hoping for another minion for paladin... this isn't what i was hoping for though.
This is a really bad Kidnapper for Paladin

This gives divine shield itself or your random minion? Mechano is better still

Let me change your mind
Inconsistent low floor, high ceiling card that I could easily see myself running 1x of. Really can't run 2x because it is not a true 5-drop.
