It cannot hit face, and the Zul'jin synergy is really poor, it can hit your own minion, forcing you to hold on Zul'jin when you are ahead, and gives you a random card instead of a discovered card.
I don't see myself play this over Wing Blast honestly. 1 mana deal 4 is premium. 4 mana deal 4 is way below tempo. And I don't see myself playing both because the Zul'jin synergy is bad.
You won't often want to play this on curve, but if you haven't drawn Savannah Highmane by turn six, playing this, killing something, Discovering a replacement spell, and playing a 2-drop seems like a perfectly reasonable turn.
I like it. It is slow but my control heal hunter sometimes runs out of steam in the late game if my opponent deals with all of my Vicious Scalehide's. I like the discover mechanic for Hunter. I can discover more Dire Frenzy's.
My fear is Zul'jin become so strong and turn into the new jade druid when KFT was released.
You have all the spells to help you get the turn 10 and win with the hero battlecry.
Other classes is losing too much and we don't have fast odd decks to keep this card in check anymore.
Brace yourselfs, hunterstone is coming.
I don't actually think this card is particularly good with Zul'jin. It doesn't develop your board (which is something you need to do for 10-mana), it might destroy your own stuff, it can't target face, and it draws you a random card.
If this card is strong enough to see play on it's own merits (I'm skeptical), then Zul'jin synergy is an added bonus. But I don't think you're playing this specifically to make your Zul'jin good.
I think you're probably better off with some combination of Master's Call and Unleash the Beast.
This is a good card.... BUT this card will replace the "super" Flanking Strike. For the Hunter class is way more important to have a 3/3 beast on board than to discover a spell and keep it on your hand...
Without Rexxar, I'm not sure Hunter can go in on the "value" game the way it did with Spell Hunter. If you need removal, I imagine it is likely that tempo will be more important than value.

What's with the apocalyptic thoughts? If you ask me, warrior gained a lot of support from the RoS expansion and its control archtype will be extremely popular. The class still has powerful defensive tools from the classic set and Year of the Raven boosted it a lot.
Back to Marked Shot - don't you think that Zul'jin can cast this spell on one of their own minions? Don't you think that Wing Blast wasn't played in mid-range hunter (as many people thought it would) and some players may not even consider putting the new Shot in their decks due to how slow it is? I know you don't like hunters in the RR expansion, but you are overseeing the card's weaknesses. Also, you are overreacting.
You have all the spells to help you get the turn 10 and win with the hero battlecry.
Honestly, up to this day I still wonder why some people fear Zul'jin. I really do.
Tell me, how do you "win" on turn 10 by playing him? If you face an aggressive deck with no board clears, then, yeah, I can understand. But any control deck can manage a board full of mediocre stated minions. Secondly, Zul'jin is a real game ender when he summons chargers from Animal Companion and To My Side!. The latter spell will rotate out and hunters will lose the spellstone. I have been in many situations, where Zul'jin casts Kill Command either on my weak minions or on theirs (only once on my face). I have been in 2-3 games, where Zul'jin summoned Huffer and guess where Flanking Strike landed on. My point is that this hero card is random, it will lose a lot of support due to the rotation and it's not nowhere near as broken as Jade Druid was back in the days...
Why are people comparing it to Flanking Strike? It looks more like Wing Blast and instead of the cost reduction you discover a spell.
I can see Trolden Quick shot into Marked shot into Kill Commanderino already.
I really like this card. And the fact that it can only hit minions is actually a plus in my book because it has very nice synergy with Zul'jin
anyone mentioned the sinergy with the new legendary ? :D

The true question remains, how was this god-awful artwork accepted?
For one more mana, I can use Baited Arrow and possibly get a dinosaur on board.
I'm not sure on this one. I don't even use Wingblast. I'll try it but I don't know...
Good Luck and Happy Gaming! <3

I voted "Playable."
Very good1
Believe in potential; the multiverse blesses some beings with extraordinary traits, with the potential to do—to be—great things.
I really want to see a Hunter try this and trigger Never Surrender

it seems the League of EVIL comes from a region I like to call Value Country.

You know what they say ... A spell in hand is worth a dinosaur in the bush.
I'm pretty sure that's right.

Less Tempo, More Value than Flanking Strike. Probably same deck slot for Standard.

So i ranked it "Playable".
Who said, they realise it now? He spefically said "still"
Guys, I'm still here.
