Double Evocation + double this + normal 1-drop? LETS FUCKIN GO, BOIS
That's a synergy, but it's not worth it on turn 1, since you basically replacing Evocations, spells that you put in your deck with some random spells, most likely some crappy ones.
5/5 or better in stats on turn 1 in exchange for one card is not worth it?
Lemme introduce you to a little friend of mine called Tempo.
Well that's tempo. You need 5 cards for such tempo to happen and you are stuck with 2 cards left. Well dream scenario is 2x evocations, 2x of these, coin and a 1 drop from topdeck or any of the cards mentioned before. You gain tempo and refill hand, but that's a really rare scenario. But yeah you can compare it to Flame imp, Voodoo Doctor, Happy Ghoul opening.

You don't need to use the coin. Both Mana Cyclones will be free. IMO even getting a single 2/2 in addition to a 1-drop on turn 1 is the highest tempo in Mage we're likely going to see for a long time.

The scenario you mentioned needs 5 cards, so that only can happen on turn 1 if you go second. Going second you have a coin, which is also a spell, so each Elemental will get you 3 spells, 6 in total. So you get a big tempo swing and refill your hand, but that will be extremely rare.
People used to pay 5 mana for 3 random spells, with this card it's really easy to generate them.. that being said mage spells gone worse since unguru and old gods..

Cabalist's Tome was mostly used for finishing the quest, iirc.
So, as I said in the Ray of Frost discussion thread - look not only in the card itself, but also the class that's getting it and always remember - they have nerfed Mana Wyrm from 1 to 2 mana for a reason.

Nice Arena card too

Nerf inc.
A free 2/2 is still high tempo.

Yeah - that elemental innervate card didn't do anything for me before. It does now.
That whole Miracle Mage build is starting to look real.

It's going to be rare and pretty fringe, but SOMEONE is going to play Mana Cyclone, 1-drop, and Water Elemental on turn 1.

Questmage gets easier every single expansion.

Powerful card definitely will see play.

I am not entirely sure i understand the hype for Quest Mage: Exodia Mage is already more efficient than Quest, isn'it?
Also, Double Turn is useless if you do not gather all your Combo pieces together: finishing the Quest fast is just half of the job, for OTK purposes.
Finally, blizzard is nuturing a playstyle I enjoy.
2 mana 2/2 draw two cards? Sounds really good.
