It will be played in Freeze Mage and at least tried out in Mana Cyclone decks and Control decks. How often this sees play depends on how good those decks are in the meta.

Don't see why so many people are hung up on the damage this card does. Just the freezing power of this means that this will go in most mage decks. Your opponent plays a Mountain Giant early? Just keep freezing it until you get to an answer. Seems like a really flexible Cone of Cold .
Oh I like it , playing a wild ice mage and this sounds great. Play your big fucking Minion. I freeze it the next two turns with only 2 mana :D

One of y favorite cards, but in general, the mage cards from Rise of Shadows are so much fun! Ray of Frost, Mana Cyclone, Conjurers, Magic Trick... they are great
This is a bad designed card. Preventing interaction is always bad. :(
