I know Control Rogue will never be a thing but just hear me out. Could we go Hecklebot into Prep + Unidentified Contract? Depending on what you get, it could serve as tempo + aoe, or tempo + value.
edit: Also of note, this has 3 attack and high health, so just imagine the bullshit Priest could pull with Shadow Madness and Divine Spirit/Inner Fire.
This card doesn't state "random minion" like Dirty Rat.
Is it random, or does opponent get to choose? Makes a HUGE difference.
Hearthstone has never had an effect that allows your opponent any kind of agency during your turn. I would be extremely surprised if they suddenly started now.
This also means that Warrior has multiple outs to any OTK decks that might still exist. Being a Mech is huge. Play this into Brawl on turn 9, like the old Dirty Rat combo in Wild.
You could also run Doomsayer as well on turn 6 depending on what you pull from their deck. This card is going to see alot of play, UNLESS we have death rattle cards that make it painful to do these things.
Also like the idea of Rogue using it to mill or kill a minion with Sap. Against control, they tend to have a full hand. Play this, and Sap it. then they burn a card, if they were at 9 cards. Further more, Play this, Prep and Vanish on turn 7. If the opponents hand is near full, they will lose multiple minions and you 'kill' the hecklebot summon for sure.
The biggest mistake is to play this on turn 4, with no plan or idea of how to get rid of the summoned minion if it is a late game bomb. That's a dirty rat rookie mistake.
In Wild, this is actually a better Mill tool for rogue. It cannot be silenced. Play this and Vanish and you can pull out all of the cards in the deck faster.

ahhaha that`s really fun! Prepare to die) Omg next meta brawl!!!
Agree with most that Dirty Rat is superior, but I think this is better than Deathlord.
Deathlord was a Deathrattle which meant the opponent could control (to a greater extent) WHEN the minion is summoned or just silence the Deathlord. Hecklebot is a battlecry which means you can be prepared with a Shield Slam, Hex, Polymorph, etc....
Ugh, against Priest, this can be really bad if this becomes a staple, like Kaladin mentions.
Shadow Madness, Divine Spirit and Inner Fire is 16 damage for a finisher. On top of that, if the opponent plays Hecklebot against you as Priest and CAN'T deal with the summoned minion, you can use Shadow/Divine/Fire along with your other minion on your turn to make a surprise kill.
Or if they foolishly pull a 14 Health minion (like Wall Priest has), then 28 damage, plus this means game over next turn.
This actually makes Wall Priest better if your opponent plays this against you. Hmm.

good point!
But if you are suddenly against aggro you can play it on turn 4 for value
That stat line! I imagine this card being a hit and miss, though. Like, if it pulls off Malygos and you dont have anything to destroy it and the opponent happens to have damaging spells, then you're screwed. On the other hand, it counters combo decks as well, so if it does pull Maly and the opponent doesnt have the combo pieces yet, then it gives you time to destroy it.
Dirty Rat is waaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaay better because you must have kill the minion when is the win condition of the opponent deck, like Malygos and is a lot easier do that spending 2 manas than 4 manas in the minion, but is much better than the worse scenario, don't have anything at all.

Opponents don't get to make plays during your turn. This has (effectively) identical text to Deathlord, which was random.

It's always random. You know how the mechanics of this game work. There's no UI to select 1 minion from your entire deck full of minions.
Don't get too in the weeds about Blizz text.

Amazing synergy with Kangors endless army Kappa

what do you think the lore of this card is?
Did dr boom make it?

Actually, the more I think about it, the more I think you CAN'T play this against Wall Priest at all.
I know it's gonna work well like Dirty Rat or Deathlord, but with my luck it'll just pull Gnomish Inventor every time lol

I see this in 33% of all decks , meta-defining.

Simple existence of this card shutdowns all potential 3-4 minions decks based on Jepetto Joybuzz.
So i vote for meta-defining

It's like a deathlord, but you can get rid of whatever it summons now.
