This can be discovered by Dr Boom (hero card) and omega asembly to give warrior ways to combat combo decks even if they decide to not run this card.
It also helps with fatigue matches, because warrior can remove anything big this pulls with shield slam and execute, and this also pulls another minion to overextend into brawl. So I think it will be put into that deck as well, not only used from rng discover.
When they talked about "callback" cards I thought this would be just a few cards, not half the set.
Anyway, very good card, destroys aggro on play, destroys combo with luck and skill, will see play.
They just can't get it right for everyone. How many threads were there that wanted to put Dirty Rat in the Classic set or demanded more disruption tools for standard? And now we get one, but then there are people saying "meh, just a reprint".
As far as I am concerned, I quite enjoy the throwback, and after five years of Hearthstone I think it is ok to look back, take stock, and bring back what made the game so good in the early years.
About the card, I voted playable, though that's obviously depending on the meta. If Combo remains a thing, it will be used a lot. The way I see it, it is better than Deathlord, because it's a battlecry, so it can't be silenced, and you still have the 3/7 taunt body to protect you if you pull something big. It is a little worse than Dirty Rat, because it is harder to get the timing right, and even then there is a higher chance of hit and miss. But overall solid card, not too flashy, but worth the deck slot if the meta calls for disruption.
That this is a good anti-combo and anti-control (in terms of fatigue) tech, it is and that's undeniable. It will see tons of play just like the aforementionted cards are heavily used in wild. The only thing I am not sure of is whether this is going to create frustrating moments for combo players. I remember some people hating on Dirty Rat, because it was an auto-loss if it targeted the right minion and the same effect kinda occurs here. True, the chances of pulling a cheap cycle minion are really high and you can't do anything, if the enemy's win-condition is in their hand (except with Mojomaster Zihi), but dunno. I can still see some people making posts and complaining about the mech's design.
Inb4 since there isn't going to be a hand-disruptive tool, I believe Zihi will continue to see play next expansion.
If they are complaining about auto lose maybe they should play smarter. I gonna put in my decks and make the combo noobs pay for playing garbage combo decks.
A little worse than Deathlord and unfortunately much much worse than Dirty Rat. But I guess it's better than nothing.
Why is it worse than Deathlord? If you are facing an aggro deck, then yeah, it is worse. But if you play it and have a removal for the recruited minion, your opponent can't do anything about it. In the deathlord's case the opponent can silence it or they might draw their win-condition before you get to kill the 2/8 taunt.
IMO it is worse because it's more dangerous to play it on curve when you don't have on board the means to dispose of the worst case scenario minion. And it's highly unlikely you'll have a big killer on board by turn 4. In Deathlord's case you had some time to build up countermeasures because the opponent had to kill it first and the summoned minion wouldn't be able to attack until the following turn. Here the opponent gets to attack right off the bat. And as for the silencing aspect, to my knowledge combo decks don't run silences at the moment.
An overstated mech with a combo breaking restriction is a good thing for the fumble of mech decks back in boomsday since you can make this a defensive monster in hunter or paladin the latter of which can revive hecklebot with the legendary spell
Strictly worse then Dirty Rat, still better than nothing.
6 mana is ok to play hex or silence
why would people play a 5 mana 3/3? cause of a 3/8? did people play silence cause of tar creepers or cause of cubes? *thinking*

This doesn't just synergize with Zilliax, it curves into it. Shieldbreaker, buddy, you've got work to do.
We're only missing "Deathrattle: Summon a minion from your opponent's hand."
It must cost either 1 or 5.
I really hope that this and Toggwaggle's Scheme don't lead to a return of Mill Rogue.
If you notice this notice, you will notice, that this notice is not worth noticing....
its time boys Duskfallen Aviana hard counter, finaly i can play her in my deck :D
True. Hakkar-Toggwaggle's Scheme-Toggwaggle-MILL ROGUE on the way. Nobody can handle it
How will this work with Khadgar, again two minions??

That wouldn't even be a mill deck tbh..
it will not I guess. it says *your card summon*
For the first time here, voted 5 stars for no leg/epic card.
Should work like that.
This card is bad in almost every deck, only being playable in decks oriented to fatigue strategies.

It’s a battlecry so not sure what shieldbreaker would do to stop this?
