Handbuff, like all other new or currently niche mechanics, sits on the cusp of near plausible which can tilt into favorable with one or two extra cards for viability.
Theres 2 other xpacs for this year, all of which are building on this continued story. Do not underestimate this based only on today's cards; it was developed with the future cards in mind.
This makes Dragonmaw Scorcher even beefier. Love it :) I think with a couple more new dragons this will be pretty sick. Twilight Drake in handbuff also makes sense since you'll be trying to load your hand with dragons, so even more health for him.
So does this mean that Drag-adin is going to be a mid-range deck? If so, can that really work? Let's see how many more Dragons are released before I seriously rate this card.
What's the lowest possible value here? You buff 1 Dragon. Fairy Dragon.
Turn 7, you have this and a 6/5 Fairy Dragon. I mean, its not terrible.
I really want Paladin to go in a new direction. With Odd Paladin gone, a good mid-range /buff deck like this would be fun to try.
If Paladin is able to get big minions out after turn 5 what it will need is the ability to control the board before then, and/or clear it and then dominate it after turn 5.
Wild Pyromancer/ Equality is still possible, although it's a bit harder to pull off than it once was.
Still, +3/+3 to each dragon in your hand is not to be dismissed. Even cheap 2 or 3 mana dragons suddenly become very threatening.
I mean I love this card cause I adore handbuff, but this needs more to be actually viable. Although +3/+3 is a really huge buff as long as you have enough dragons to hit with it.

Just a little curious if you don't mind, how many Dragons would you say need to be hit to make this card worthy?
super glad dragon pally is getting support and overall the idea of mixing handbuff and dragons seems really fun, but i'm having trouble seeing how good this card is
on one hand, the effect is very powerful in terms of value and fits with the conservative playstyle of dragons, but on the other hand... it's a 3/5 for 5 mana
not saying this card isn't playable, but risking already bad tempo in slow non-priest dragon deck for late-game value that dragons already have puts this card in a place where it could easily be cut if dragon pally ever became a thing
again, however, i might be pleasantly surprised :)

Id say 3 . It depends tho.
If there is a taunt or lifesteal Dragon, hitting that one could be enough. Hitting an Alextrasza , is like whatever..

Likely at least 2-3. Hitting 1 basically breaks even on stats, hitting 2 helps make up for the tempo loss, and hitting 3+ is a lot of value. But like Wingdude said, if you are hitting dragons with really good keywords/effects (i.e. Lifesteal, Taunt, Rush, Charge, etc.) then it's easier to capitalize on the buffs. You also want ideally a 6-drop dragon so you can curve the buffs out.
Dragon Paladin isn't really a thing right now. Sadly Glowstone Technician is a better card that sees zero play.
Not sure if hyped yet.

I also expect that this will get more value with later expansions. But we don´t know now if there will be 2-3 good new dragons in this expansion.
While I share your oppionion, that Dragon Speaker is bad, I don't get how Glowstone Technician is better than this.
It is
Sure it buffs all mionions, but you'll play Dragon Speaker in a Dragon-heavy deck, so the effect will be quite the same (except 1 or 2 minions)
Wild Dragon Pally finally playable... maybe ;)

It's been soft spoiled by a Streamer that the new Dragon Paladin Legendary could potentially lead to an OTK.... Which make me sad...

If true, I hope that's really hard to pull off. Every time they enable OTK, they get a ton of grief.
But I didn't think streamers got to see their card reveals very far in advance, so I'm going to take this with a grain of salt.

Hand-buffs have never worked before and this is a niche hand-buff. Even with more dragon support in paladin I don't think this is gonna be a thing.
Oh, Lethal - where did you go? I miss you all the time.
Everybody place your bets, will handbuff work this time?
