I'm going to go out on a limb and say that this will see no play outside of Kalecgos' discover effect. Vomiting raw stats onto the board for a high mana cost has rarely worked.
Not optimistic unless we get an insane 6-mana minion this expansion.
Mage 6-drops are the worst, no argument about that. However, getting 2 or 4 copies of Damaged Stegotron is just insane. The high rolls for this card are way higher than A New Challenger... .
I think there is a lot of potential with the card, but it will be quite meta depending and depend on how well a control style mage will do. Because even hard to remove minions like Cairne or Mechanical Whelps might simply be a death sentence on 8 or 10 mana turn. I don't think this card is enough reason to keep Khadgar in hand most of the game, so you need to have other "combos" in your deck for Khadgar to be worth it.
So can you have a deck with Kelecgos, 2x Astromancer and 2x of this + high-cost spells or is that too top-heavy.
However discovering this of Kelecgos and getting either charge or taunts with it is going to be one-hell of a turn 10 though.

I'm sorry what ? DK Gul'dan, N'zoth, Rexxar, tempo Shudderwock ? Rarely ever worked huh ?
Mage doesn't need card advantage with all the support it got last year. Druid needed that, because in order to ramp, they sacrificed card advantage. While this card isn't nearly insane as UI, it's still a card that does a lot for it's cost. If mage can stall enough to drop this or stall enough + 2 turns to drop this with Khadgar, they'll force their opponent to a forced card disadvantage anyway, replicating the draw 5 UI effect. Of course I assume that this seemingly clunky minion-mage works while theorizing this, it probably won't, but this is just a food for thought.

I think what a lot of people (myself as well until just now) are overlooking is that this actually gives you 3 cards in total. The discover adds a card of your choice to your hand. Then, you summon 2 copies of that card immediately. So you actually get a total of 3 cards; one in your hand and 2 on the board. Yes, the 6 drops available to mage right now are pretty terrible, but this could still give you enough bang for your buck.
This card just got buffed. 3 new great 6 drops and two of them are taunts, one with spell power which Mage would enjoy and other will leave 0/5 taunt behind. 6/4 summon 4 1/1 is not bad and there are 2 new 5/6 which are okay
Card needs to be nerfed. Yeah it’s high cost but I have yet to see mage get a shit draw. Basically game over as soon as it’s played. Especially with Khadgar.

MCT is a nice card for this situation.

Ya, I think that if this wasn't a mage card it would be a lot better, even with the Khadgar synergy.
Life is short, Stunt it!

but this gives no card advantage and tempo instead, they don't fill the same slot at all. It's more of a spiteful than anything else.
