This card is a dead hand slot , it requires two Cards to be pulled of , Dragoncaller Alanna didn’t even see much play and is a better late game control card , I give this card 1/5 , you’re probably dead before he even synergies.
Only seems viable with Jan'alai, the Dragonhawk, but we already had two Rag's with Zola and that was with the whole odd package. Not sure how strong that will be.
Eh, doubt he'll see play as it is currently. Going for RNG with Power of Creation as your win condition isn't viable due to RNG, and having to pull a two-card combo with one being legendary. Doesn't guarantee a win, and a lot of classes can still deal with a big board like that.
However, lots of mage cards recently dealing with summoning a random minion (Vex Crow, Unexpected Results) so Blizzard is pushing a theme, and if enough cards fit the theme, he'll see play.
Man, I really hate all of the forced synergies with the legendaries. By himself, Khadgar doesn't do much but he can generate a lot of value. However, you have to have him in your deck. I will say that he is a powerful enabler for powerful plays but... I just don't like having him in the deck.
I don't know. Without Jaina control mage has not a real finisher, Kalegos is good but not a win condition by itself, activate Jan'alai will be even harder without Baku (and mage also loses dragon's fury), the new 8 mana spell can low-roll really badly... and obvioulsy this card is not good in a pure tempo/aggro shell.
it will really depend on the speed of the meta, the card is good but maybe not quite there yet.
This is a little disappointing to me. Khadgar is one of the most powerful mages in all the lore but his card is a 2/2 that deals in summoning minions? A little disappointed that mage is getting these forced minion synergies.

I actually think it's awesome and fitting lore-wise to make mages weak bodies with powerful effects.
Looks at all the netural cards that summon minions....think the card is pretty silly if you ask me. Keep eye on card and mage/neutral cards that summon minions...I believe it doesn't work with deathrattles that summon minions?

Jan'alai, the Dragonhawk Odd Mage just became REALLY damn scary. Lot more cards coming tho so let´s see.
but Khadgar costs 2 mana, i.e. is an even-cost card

RIP WILD I'll PRAY FOR YOU Haha
Molten Reflection Firelands Portal Sindragosa ect...
Doesnt matter if its a dead combo piece when it cost 2 mana
Why everyone consider this only for a slow mage?
It can work with a fast mage and token generating cards
If you don't die to combo or aggro.
Mage kinda seems like Deja Vu from the Witchwood.
2 mana 2/2 legendary that doubles minions Archmage Arugal, Khadgar.
3 mana common beast that gets you a card Black Cat, Messenger Raven.
"Let me change your mind..."

Since Zola in gone, here is your replacement.
they pushing control mage but without dk jaina and the armor elemental, control mage needs more cards to stay alive
with Janalai cool, without meh.

Which doesn't matter anymore, since Baku is going to
HellWild. One of the most powerful wizards ever. Has the same stats as Kobold Geomancer.
