For me it's even better than Vilespine. Those extra effects are very nice (The double coin OP af) and sometimes Vilespine was clunky because of the combo effect. It is not good for a tempo deck, but in a control one it is very nice. Rogue it is going to make some noise, Lackey and Value decks look like they have potential and this is a good feat in both of them.

Remember playing Control Shaman with Reincarnate shenanigans? No? It was fun, here's a refresher!
So... Wait.. Turn 6 I can play this guy and use a prep for the treasure summoning 2 additional legendary minions that I can even discover?? On turn 6? Man this bad boy is scary...
This will fill perfectly the Vilespine shoes and we will probably see it in almost (if not, every) rogue deck.

To everyone saying that this fills the void left by the rotating Vilespine...what about walk the plank? Why spend 2 more mana to do basically the same thing?
I'm not saying that this won't see play. It's a good card. But the competition it faces from Sap and Walk the Plank is real. How much single target removal does one deck need?
(The answer may be - play all the removal and win with some manner of Togwaggle shenanigan.)
For those saying the Patient Assassin one is crap, you do realise it's a 1/1 stealth poisonous that means you need to waste some form of AoE clearing it in order to not lose the next big minion you drop on the board, right?

I wasn't planning on going for a run today. But those cops came out of nowhere.

What treasure?

I agree with you as it will be a solid card. However, I feel like having it as a 2 of in EVERY deck is slim. Some decks would rather have cheaper removal even if it is more conditional.

I'm simply not yet sold on a rogue that is filling it's deck with 6+ single-target removal cards, most of which cost more than anything warrior plays. That's a lot of mana in a class with little to no sustain.
Because you might want the opponent to not play the minion again, plus this got an additional effect that might be relevant.

Deathrattle huter was my first hunter deck. Spell hunter was a joke until kibler fine tuned it. I refuse to do control hunter because...steady shot.
DJ
I don't care what you smoked mate, just give me a piece of that.
Jokes aside, very week card, not even close to the likes of Meteor or Vilespine.
Which... isn't an actual problem. Those cards were broken af.
They said it was stealth on the reveal stream

This card is another strong AF card for Rogue. This with Preparation is nuts! The effects are super strong and none of the 4 options are really 'bad'.
Rogue seems to be getting some STRONG cards this expand!
What does the OP mean by "the one above"?

Rogue will still have to figure out how it's surviving long enough to pay all that mana, though.
Preparation
I understand that prep is a card.

I'd love it if Control Rogue becomes a thing
Definitely will find a place in Thief Rouge. In that deck, all of the options for upgrades look really solid.
