So if you play a bad gimmicky deck with a bunch of trash cards this card has a chance to be a slightly better Dr. Boom otherwise its just a war golem...
Boring and lackluster like the rest of this forced expansion. Not surprised.
No, if you play a normal control deck with a set of cards used as a win condition, which is usually the way a control deck is built, this serves as a threat that is really hard to deal with for just 7 mana.
Bad design. They print a card like that, they should have made it like the C'Thun package. Just like C'Thun, it's a build-around Legendary that is worthless on it's own, yet unlike C'Thun, it's a standalone Legendary that you get from a pack. It contradicts Blizzard's previous design philosophies. Above all else, it does the exact same thing as the OG Dr. Boom. Badly designed and uninspired card.
C'Thun wasn't given on packs because he was bad on its own, but rather because his followers were just vanilla minions without him.
Bomb cards on the other hand do something by themselves. So, Blastmaster Boom is more similar with Quests or Loas than with the Good Ol' God.
So they are printing cards we've already seen, literally. This is lazy and shows a lack of creativity, which is the theme of this expansion it seems
Thank you sir for stating what I have been trying since day 1. Reprinting + old characters + old mechanics. Lazy AF
This argument is lazy AF. Pulling on nostalgia is one of the best things you can do in any game, to tie in history and to make an actual universe out of your game, instead of printing totally different cards every time that does not tie into any collective continuity. It's one thing if 30 or 40 cards of a set were near reprints (they aren't), but it's totally fine for a small handful to play on previous cards and change it a little bit, especially considering they are specifically targeting very well known cards in HS history.
I know it's a cool thing to do to just complain about Blizzard about anything you can. Pick better arguments. The fact that they have a few repeated characters that appear over the course of a few sets is a good thing, to create Hearthstone's own identity and universe.

In the extremely unlikely event there haven't been enough bombs to make this at least as good as Dr. Boom, you probably aren't going to play it yet. Control Warrior doesn't have to use every mana every turn.
The only thing lackluster around here is the people calling these lazy designs. In the case of every callback, the design has been significantly and elegantly improved. I actually like how they show Team 5 has matured a bit, the notable exception being the new Togwaggle, which shows a remarkable lack of restraint.

I have total respect for those who like seeing Dr boom again, but I personally don't like it very much. This "almost reprint" design is really disappointing for someone who has played the most in the GvG era and still plays his wild dr boom from time to time. So many cool things they could have done. I guess I kinda like seeing the boombots again, with rush and zilliax this time, could be pretty fun. But I'm honestly more interested in going back to wild with the new warrior bombers and making a real deck out of iron juggernaut, than comboing with Dr boom 2.0 in standard.
And sadly unlike many people, I really don't like the art, and I already broke my heart crafting golden old dr boom because I didn't like the art either.
Overall I have mixed feeling, but no doubt this is a game winning card in the right deck.
In Wild, I'd probably not bother with the whole bomb thing, and use the old Dr. Boom instead.
In Standard, however, I can imagine that new Dr. Boom is good enough to fit in most if not all Warrior decks. It works decently with Dr. Boom, Mad Genius, and thereby other Mech cards, as the Boom Bots get rush; the new weapon is decent enough to guarantee at least 2 bombs from the battlecry; and I doubt there will much more stuff going on for Warrior but Dragons and Mechs. And for this expansion, I don't think there will be much more Dragon support, resulting in a better Mech deck.
Bottomline, this is pretty good, even though it requires a bit of support.
not sure why people think this is bad. Either you play control and stuff the opponents deck with bombs or they play control and will card draw themselves bombs. Not like warrior has a hard time doing 1 dmg whirlwind effects.
More than 3 bombs is a waste as no more board space. Seems memey rather than good but will be fun to play with
In the days of the original Dr. Boom, it was extremely common to play him to an empty board. One adventure pack later, if you were feeling cheeky, you'd play Brann Bronzebeard + Dr. Boom to an empty board.
When you're playing Warrior, you can almost always count on having an empty board.
I still win games with my renolock using Brann+Boom, this acts like Nzoth and the boom bots either clear board or blow your face in for lethal. 4 boom bots is so OP.
I'm not a fan of cards that add to a deck because they rarely pay off.
This card works around that, since I can make use of the cards I added without having to draw them. And the good news is I only need to add one bomb for this card to equal the original Dr. Boom, so synergy should be easy.
In Wild, I'd probably not bother with the whole bomb thing, and use the old Dr. Boom instead.

In wild I am going to play all the booms in a boom themed deck, of course!
Ehhh... Obviously the card is strong once you get it activated, but you have to add crap cards to an otherwise good deck to make this playable. Also, you could add in all those cards to get this full value Boombot numbers and then if you have minions on the board you won't even get that value....
So I think the card is good, but since it needs crap activators.... Eh,....
I'd like to talk more about the design. FAIL!!! Man, the development team is getting SUPER lazy and/or just running out of ideas. So, this card is basically Dr. Boom, but with this 'clever' bomb redesign.... Same as the new Togwaggle treasures! Just rehashing Marin the Foxes cards.... Lazy, lazy, lazy.....
This is getting slept on, hard. Imagine playing Onyxia, but when you clear her, she deals 25 damage (on average) do your board and face. Yeah, you have to run it in a bomb deck, but the bomb cards aren't bad, and Control Warrior is fine with playing subpar minions since they have so much removal and armor.
At first I thought it was ho hum, but the new weapon made it a lot better. Still Dr Boom was a product of the time. I dunno if his effect is any good now without a serious number of boombots.
Is doctor boom now the most reprinted card? or is he tied with Ragnaros (I count Janalai)
A lot of people are talking about aggro but I see this Bomb Warrior more as a combo/control deck where you keep combo'ing bombs into your deck while staying alive hitting face everywhere you can.
1 bomb = 5dmg
You can put 8 bombs into someone's deck with the cards we just saw + sofarium bomber WITHOUT any additional support.
With additional support you can get 12+ into your opponents deck.
Omega Assembly, Dr. Boom Mad Genius hero card + bounce effects can get you even more bombs over time getting like 15+ bombs into your opponents deck.
With a lot of armor gain, brawl and rush giving Warrior a lot of time and oppurtunity to do whatever they want to do. Unless there's some overpowered OTK deck (without Mecha'thun) or an really good aggro deck I can see this work c:
I'm going to try it day 1 and I'm gonna have some fun because it looks ridiculously fun!
Blastmaster Boom is a nice callback. The original Dr. Boom isn't the mainstay in wild today that it was when it was in standard because there's so much other stuff available for 7 mana, but coming in at a rotation might mean Blastmaster Boom can make a big splash in the standard meta.

We are getting Dr. Sinergy instead of Dr. Value now.
Hearthstone has changed a lot since GvG.
Ascendit a terra in coelum, iterumque descendit in terram, et recipit vim superiorum et inferiorum.
what a novel idea; a warrior deck where you actually try to kill your opponent.

I voted meta defining and history will show this to be the case.
I still run Dr. Boom in most of my wild decks, he's OP. The new Boom is also OP, more so in standard.

That card is still OP, you will get 2-4 boom bots playing him on curve. Warrior tier 1.

Boom got huuuge art downgrade. He looks like a Happy meal toy.

Everyone forgetting that bomb shuffling slows down Mechathun OTK decks.

Is Augmented Elekk coming back ?
I don't see alot of play of that card, humm?
