Stand Against Darkness saw some play in dude paladin, both are weak to any board clear, but if we have synergistic buffs then 3 mana summon (on average) 5 demons could be useful.
For example, Knife Juggler would be a great two-card combo to ping against minions or face for burst. And to make the strategy more consistent we have Fiendish Circle (4 mana summon 4 1/1 imps) so you have a consistent strategy perhaps.
So all what warlock needs are some serious buff cards as many people have stated above. Grim Rally is kinda meh in comparison to those and as I said before - 2 bad cards don't make a good combination. Warlock needs to get something really good, in order to make a viable package out of the aforementioned spells.
The only way this can be good is if there is some yet-to-be-released combo effect that could boost your imps, or buff some late game bomb that is buffed "for every imp summoned" during the game. Maybe boost their attack and health as they are summoned, or give them poisonous and rush. Even then it seems questionable, because the top deck only summons 1 imp.
Sigh. I can't wait until a month from now when all the same people are calling for the card to be nerfed. Lol.
Guys, this deck existed before. It was called token paladin, and it absolutely was tough to play against. The deck basically writes itself for warlock:
2x knife thrower, lost spirit, raid leader, rafaams scheme, fiendish circle, stormwind champion, grim rally, and hireek. I'm at 15 cards. Add warlocks unlimited card draw, and it's probably a viable aggro deck in a power reduced new meta. And that's without seeing any of the new set.
Edit: blood troll sapper to finish games, unwilling sacrifice for cheap removal.
1) Something that works with many tokens on board (IMO, won't work. Warlocks will just go for better token generators, something like that 2/1 that gives two 1\1 mechs or the 3/1 magnetic mech that gives three 1\1s as a deathrattle.) 2) Something that works with many demons or imps on the board. 3) Something that works with 1 attack or 1 health minions (but see 1) 4) Something that works with schemes (I dunno... 2 mana 2\3 , battlecry add +2 power to a scheme)
This card should be a rare and imps should have rush then die at end of your turn. You play Blood Troll Sapper then Rafaam's Scheme for 12 damage or use rush to clear some enemy minions, either way you get 12 damage at turn 10.
Sigh. I can't wait until a month from now when all the same people are calling for the card to be nerfed. Lol.

Unlike Token Paladin or Druid, Warlock doesn't have any AOE buffs except for Grim Rally or single target buffs except for Demonfire.
I think it's probably likely we get some, but we're going to need a lot more than those two, which aren't incredibly scary.
I'm sorry to tell you Mr. Rafaam. If that's your scheme, I doubt that your Dalaran heist will be successfull. Every peasant in Dalaran can deal with 7 1/1s. Even Hagatha's Scheme destroys you without thinking (= as a top deck).
I think it is weak on purpose, if you draw this and you have a bad hand, Just use Rafaam and make it a legendary.
I wonder if Rafaam will make some token imp Lock deck, that includes himself in the deck. and be able to buff them all somehow.
We do have a lot of cloning cards right now from the last two expansions and spells to summon imps. Does that mean Rafaam will do something E.V.I.L. with it? Lets hope that the spells/minions will make something great with the imps!

That doesn't mean that hypothetical token warlock won't choose better token generators over this...

This card is just bad. I doubt it will see play without some serious buff cards.
If you are in your first year of playing please read this post.
Dust does not burn a hole in the jar. Be careful what you craft, especially before and right after a rotation.
Stand Against Darkness was a card, that appeared once paladin got more dude synergies. So if we imagine for a second how warlock gets something similar to Level Up!, Lightfused Stegodon, then Rafaam's scheme/Fiendish Circle start to make sense.
In the past I have seen some murloc shaman decks running Call in the Finishers, because they discounted Everyfin is Awesome and enabled sudden burst damage.

Probably, I'm the only person who thinks that this card is ridiculously powerful and will get everyone salty in the future. Wait and see.
.
Rafaam deserved better. Weak and boring card.
Unless there’s some awesome warlock board buff yet to be revealed there’s no way this card will see play.

My mind went to some shenanigans with Blood Troll Sapper. Maybe with a Knife Juggler on one turn, and then land the Blood Troll Sapper the next turn and trade the imps.
Probably not worth the effort, but maybe there's more token synergy to come.

I think this is a weak card. The only way it’s good is if Warlock gets some kind of wide buff. This would be an amazing spell for Shaman though.
Mmmmmmm.... Shadowy thoughts.
If this DOES see play it'll be in a Zoo deck with Grim Rally. Outside of that hopefully it'll get support in this set
What synergies cards can make it better?
1) Something that works with many tokens on board (IMO, won't work. Warlocks will just go for better token generators, something like that 2/1 that gives two 1\1 mechs or the 3/1 magnetic mech that gives three 1\1s as a deathrattle.)

4) Something that works with schemes (I dunno... 2 mana 2\3 , battlecry add +2 power to a scheme)
I think it would see play if it summoned 3/3 and costed 7 for example, it’s rarity could have been changed as well (perhaps to a rare)

I tried out the token deck idea this expansion. Overpowered by other aggro and not strong enough to consistently beat midrange and control.
Mall those deck and are losing a lot. I’ll give this another try!

I think it's probably likely we get some, but we're going to need a lot more than those two, which aren't incredibly scary.
Problem is that even mediocre cards like Scarab Egg, Replicating Menace, Microtech Controller, Whirliglider Explodinator, Fiendish Circle are more far more reliable token generators than this scheme.
No, you need strong imp\demon synergies for this to be viable.
I'm sorry to tell you Mr. Rafaam. If that's your scheme, I doubt that your Dalaran heist will be successfull. Every peasant in Dalaran can deal with 7 1/1s. Even Hagatha's Scheme destroys you without thinking (= as a top deck).
