If this was a battlecry effect I would still think this was a bad card. Now it is a deathrattle which makes it even slower, and even a worse card. You can't run this in a mech deck because you need to guarantee it hitting a deathrattle mech so it goes in a deathrattle deck and won't win the game there.

[sarcasm] YES. As Battlecry it would be such a bad card..... Getting 3\4, 7\7 and 2\2 deathrattle that will give another 7\7 is not a big swing by any standards. 3\4 + 9/7 divine shield is a joke too. 3/4+deadly shot+2/2 with a deadly shot deathrattle would also be a crap. [/saracasm]

Sure if you want to judge the card by the absolute highrolls then it is a great card. And so are cars like The boomship, Krul the unshackled, Princes talanji, master oakheart (which i actually really like), boom-zooka, varian wrynn, kangors endl. army, dollmaster dorian, dr morrigan & woecleaver for that matter.
All cards that potentially can create huge boards in 1 turn or in 2 turns quickly if they highroll enough. Especially Hunter will be running out of cards around turn 6 in most archetypes.
I don't even know why this is a legendary, this would be perfectly fine as an epic. Still wouldn't be good, even with 2 copies. This one tilts me a little. Not even the flavor of this card is cool. Just a coffin crasher as a mech.
With Spider-bomb in hand this is the value of a plain 3 mana 3/4 plus deadly shot? Needs to be activated, and we are losing a lot of hunters activators, but it’s could do something in combo or control I suppose? Let’s wait for more card announcements. I’m down for Mech Hunter to be a thing again. I’m likely still going to just play Midrange Beast... but....you know lol
There are very few good deathrattle mechs in standard to hit with this card and trigger the deathrattle. A few are good and can swing the board in your favor.
But the issue is on turn 6, you cannot trigger the deathrattle as it comes into play, as we are losing Umbra in standard. So that means waiting a few turns until turn 8 to trigger this. That means whatever deathrattle mech is in your hand might not be alone if you draw other cards in those 2 turns.
So to make this a 'good card', it has to trigger the turn it comes into play, which is why as a battlecry, this would be very strong. You get to control the effect on your turn. Because it's a deathrattle, you either trigger it the same turn yourself, or hope your opponent doesnt mess with your plans.
So what is the best case scenario then? Take that scenario and figure out how often that will occur with stats and number crunching. If that is a very small number (it is), then this cannot really work as a build around card.
To make this card 'good' in its current state.
1. Draw Oblivitron by turn 8. This is not as hard to do.
2. Also draw Fireworks Tech by turn 8. You have to have both by turn 8 now, less likely.
3. Also draw whatever Mech with deathrattle you want by turn 8, with NO OTHER Mechs in hand.
4. Survive until turn 8, while drawing all of the above. That means also drawing any removal spells you may have by turn 8. Kill Command and Deadly Shot work here.
So if all of the above falls into place, you have your best case scenario. A turn 8 board with a 4/5 (modified by the 2/1), 2/2, 7/7 and a 2/1. While also threatening that the Oblivitron can do it again if another mech is in your hand. And the 2/2 turns into another 7/7.
That is of course CRAZY powerful indeed. But how often will it happen? And again, are you ONLY playing a few mechs in your deck to maximize this potential crazy turn? Or do you go heavy into the mechs and you don't care what you hit?
I am legit asking how would you build a deck with this best case scenario in mind?
You could probably add some consistency to this combo by including a couple Witchwood Pipers, and building the deck so that they always pull the Firework Techs, if not drawn already

That is why I said hunter players will need some time to learn how to play again, they become to used to simple spend 6 manas and win the game, if the new cards don't do this they think is crap.

Are you seriously comparing 8-10 mana board floods with 6 mana board flood here?
If that card would be a battlecry it would be broken. Period. If you fail to understand that 3\4 + pull any 6+ mana mech or or 4+ mana deathrattle mech would be insane... you are bad at evaluating cards.
As it is... This is still a card with a lot of potential. In wild it may be played in mech hunters, but not in current hyperaggresive ones but ones that are far slower with deathrattle activators. In standard it is unlikely to be in tier 1 decks right away, but it may very well find a place during next expansions.

Main problem of this card is that it is a legendary and you can run only one limiting its consistency. If that was epic - 2x Galvanizer + 2x this + 6-8 big mechs (9\7 divine shield one would be a nice pull even without any deathrattle) would be consistent enough to build a deck around cheating big mechs early.
Man, everyone kind of needs to understand that the power level in Year of the Dragon is about to go WAY DOWN with the vast amount of removals Blizzard is making. (I think this is great btw!)
But.... We still need to see what new cards are to come. If a new Mech card comes out that is a 9 mana 3/9 taunt with the Deathrattle: Summon 3 1/3 taunt mechs, people might quickly change their opinion :)
In wild: turn 10 umbra + this into old sneeze shredder... Then you get acidmaw and dreadscale. And when sneeze old shredder dies to acidmaw you get Nat Pagle

Agreed. If there is a crazy powerful death rattle mech that gets released, I might upgrade from bad to Playable.
Still, this is not good because the minion itself is not a threat, so the opponent CAN ignore it. That means you need an activator for the death rattle. That means waiting until turn 8 or turn 7 and slam it into another minion on purpose to die.
Best case scenario, you have a perfect turn 7 (with the coin) or 8 and a full board. Again, that is really impressive and powerful, but it requires far too much setup for Hunter.
No card draw for hunter. No life gain. No real good board clears. Hero power that only affects face and not the board. They lose a really good weapon. This deathrattle mech better be stellar to make this card good.

Another Hunter legendary bites the dust.

In what meta?
Summon it AND activate it's deathrattle. Compared to Coffin Crasher that can mean a free 7/7.
(If I reply to a post it doesn't quote it? So no one knows what I'm replying to? Garbage.)
Too Early
That is why I said hunter players will need some time to learn how to play again, they become to used to simple spend 6 manas and win the game, if the new cards don't do this they think is crap.
Main weakness of that card is hunters inability to have a large hand. Spending a card

Thinking about it more, this just feels like a worse Grizzled Guardian. I'm gonna need to see some pretty sick Mechs in this set for this to be good.

Is this card a sign they are printing more mechs, seeing the utter failure of the Boomsday Project to get mechs popularized again?
