Maybe it could just be a good tech card against fatigue decks and doesn’t have to be anything more than that. I also like what someone said about it being a possibility to get from Rafaam in the late game.
Nah, this is a terrible card. Doesn't have taunt. The summoned minions don't have taunt. Aggro goes face and wins.
If any of these had taunt, it might be playable.
On the other hand, getting this off of the new Warlock Rafaam is actually quite good. You would love to see this as one of your random legendary minions in the late game and fatigue.
It basically makes Rafaam a better legendary card.
I don't know if you've been playing that long or not but a whole shitload of expensive minions that don't have taunt have seen competitive play.
I understand, but there is a huge difference between this card and others. Like the Old Gods 10 drops can be played anytime, regardless of timing or even if you didnt satisfy the conditions.
Even the 9 Drop Mage that summons dragons is a little less forgiving than this card.
This card does absolutely nothing until you reach fatigue. How many turns is that? If I am warrior, I simply save a Brawl and you auto lose after that.
I think this card makes OTHER cards better, but on its own, I would never include this in a deck. I will eat my own words if this card becomes a meta game staple.
The card is bad because of the reasons I stated AND it's so conditional that its not worth it. Mecha'thun immediately won the game. This gives you the win IF your board is intact for 1 turn.
If I am wrong, I will be glad to come back here and admit it. I was saying if THIS did have taunt or the summoned elementals had taunt, this would be playable. Not great, but worth consideration.
So you can play with it, but I will be playing with better cards.
Your argument was "doesn't have taunt, therefore won't see play."
I'm simply pointing out that a lot of expensive minions without taunt have seen competitive play.
Every old god have instant impact on board. N'Zoth reviving some taunts, C'Thun wins the game, Yogg is last hope.
Nomi has no impact. If enemy can't kill you or clear the board then you win. Is it good as a finisher? Hell no! Would you build your deck around? Never.
However, if you play some slow deck and you need some big turn in Control matchup? Maybe. But you have to have in mind its dead card until you have empty deck.
Huh. I didn't really think about that before. Maybe when the Old Gods rotate out of Standard this will be relevant.

Life before death. Strength before weakness. Journey before destination.
I voted "meta defining" and warned my friends that Nomi Rogue will break the game and will force Blizzard to nerf Myras to 8 mana and Prep to 2 free mana. I am extremely worried what will happen come April 9, only aggro will be able to win by turn 7 or earlier, every other deck will be forced out of the meta till Blizz nerfs Myras.
a lot of class just don't have the aoe to effectively deal with myras into this. in the case of the classes that do you simply play a tempo game instead and treat myras as a refill and this as an only if its the last card you have that will work.
Personally I love it. It has large meme potential but also I think it’s viable. Play prep+Myra’s+nomi. The thing I don’t see in any of these is the weapon we got during rastakhan, the serrated tooth. If you have that ready to go when you play this combo you get 42/42 with rush all around.

That's not the point. Old gods were played because every of them impacts the board in turn it is played. Chef Nomi is not.
What a key word. Shall I list end game minions that are competitively played that don't have taunt or win the game on the spot?

From a meme video to a hs legendary. Really happy that the character got a tribute.
Wow, which meme video is it?
Oh Nomi - Azeroth's Most Hated Chef - , He is also a npc though.
Turn 5: Myra's Unstable Element
Turn 6: Coin + Chef Nomi
Turn 7: win!
Why u hav to be mad? is only card gaem.
Would this work at all with Void Contract?
I don't think Warlock would need it, since they typically have no problem getting through their deck.

Yes, and extremely high roll. You need to draw both Myra and Chef Nomi, AND go second to have the coin.
Then Priest plays Mass Hysteria or Warrior plays Brawl. Then you lose.

Going to be trying this in a Mill Shaman deck alongside Spirit of the Frog & Shudderwock, theorycraft below:

Everybody talking 'bout Myra's, meanwhile Priest laughs in Auctioneer with all those 0-cost spells available
^^^^^^^^ don't be surprised to see Myra's and possibly Nomi get the nerf a few weeks after expansion.
