The problem is, that you are playing warrior. What kind of spell do you want to cast to justify spending 10 mana for Kalecgos? Don't forget, that his battlecry will also offer you warrior spells. He is just okayish in warrior.
But I think you are right about the buff to dragons roar. A lot of terrible dragons are leaving the cardpool.

What a good card to coin out on turn nine Kappa. In all seriousness, this could make Luna's Pocket Galaxy a reasonable card now that you can do something else on the turn you play it. If Mage get a good big spell, which I assume they will, this could bring control mage into the forefront of the meta.
I see this as the jaina of this xpac and honestly of this entire year/rotation.
A really powerful mage card that is going to be played for the next 2 years of standard, I love getting a really fun strong card that is going to stay for the full 2 years of rotation. Always sucks to get awesome cards in the last xpac of the year since you get the least amount of time played out of it.
Yeah Luna's pocket galaxy could be great w/ him, only problem is you're saving two high cost cards in your hand until turn 10, or potentially saving one for the other leading to a dead draw for a lot of the game.
Also Luna's is only good in minion heavy decks, kalecgos has spell synergy, so I am not sure they'd work great together.
I really think everyone is overrating this card. At 10 mana, it has to be game ending or give you a huge advantage when played. Think Zul'jin, Gul'dan, N'zoth, etc. What is the most you can do with this card? Play Pyroblast on the same turn? Play Flamestrike or Blizzard for free? That's not game ending.
As a control mage, you have plenty of mana to spare during the late game. What are you gonna do with rest of the 10 mana once you've played your spell? Would you really have that many spells to cast every turn to make the most out of the 0 cost that this card gives? I can see this card fitting in some sort of burn mage combo deck but even there it's likely to be too slow. Definitely not the super legendary that everyone seems to think it is. I'm guessing it will be another Lady in White.

You will build decks around this card, so yes. A 10-mana card doesn't have to win the game on the spot, it merely has to threaten it. This card has more tempo/value than Ysera (which sees some play) in that it provides you with something in the same turn it's played, AND must be removed immediately.

Ysera sees only fringe play and she is miles better than this dragon. Still not seeing the value of this dragon.
- Control mage mostly plays AOE removal spells. What's the value of playing them for free? What's the best spell that you want to play for free? Pyroblast?
- Value diminishes once you run out of spells to play or if you are not playing any spells at all that turn. Ysera gives you value every turn. Malygos wins you the game on the spot once played. What does this dragon give you other than a free spell? Most of the time, it'll just be a 4/12 body that will be ignored.
- this is a 10 mana win more card. To determine whether it's a win more card, you just have to think about it this way. You are at 1 health and losing. Playing Zul'jin, Gul'Dan or N'zoth will have a high chance of turning the game around. What about this card? Will you play this when you're losing? No.

No, she is not.
9 to 10 manas is very small diference because in the majority of the time you can't do anything else in that turn.
Ysera give you a value in turn she is played and you can't do anything else in that turn.
This new dragon give you a value in the turn and you can play the biggest spell in your hand for free, cleaning the opponent board, the problem with Ysera is exactly this, how play her vs agressive decks without giving a free turn for the opponent with minions in the board?
After that both are very similar status and board presence, both win the game for you if opponent can't remove them.
And it is ok this card being better than Ysera, this one is a class card and Ysera isx neutral.
i'm not buying the value of this card. Alexstrasza is a 8/8 body for 9 mana that does 15 damage. This is a 4/12 body for 10 mana that with another card (Pyroblast) does 10 damage.
As for the "tempo" of placing this card alongside an AoE, how exciting to get *four* attack on board - play two of them and you'll do as much as *one* giant!
The only way this sees play is if the deck is built around it - it needs to be a high-cost spell-based deck (not just Big Spell Mage with a bunch of AoEs) so that there's always a good followup spell to play each turn, requiring your opponent to remove it or suffer significant consequences. If some good expensive Twinspell cards come out for Mage then maybe this will fit into a new Control Mage archetype.

Opponent: Coin -> Kalecgos -> pick spell -> opponent highlight a card in his hand for 5 seconds -> concede

Kalecgos+poyroblast = doom
One Word = OVERRATED

Wow. Control mage needs some help with Jaina and the big spell package rotating out. This is just what the doctor ordered!

Really like how they managed to avoid playing this on turn 9 with coin
Greetings, traveler.
Let's make Hunter great.
Normally Mage class legendaries are so bad. They've come a long way since Flame Leviathan.
Anger is the punishment we give ourselves for someone else's mistake.
The people saying this card is bad don't know Hearthstone. End of story.
Another thing, a lot of crap spells are rotating, is almost impossible don't find something useful in the situation with the discover.
But at the same time they are a lot of crap spells, which are staying. Just sayin'.
Many times spells like Cone of Cold or Vaporize can be good enough when don't have Storm or Flamestrike in the options.
