I crafted a normal Baku around 6-8 months ago and because I want the 1600 dust back, I don't craft a golden Baku.
But as I didn't have Genn Greymane and always wanted Genn, I crafted Genn in Gold some days ago. And yes, I am a wild player, so I will keep Baku & Genn.
Personally, I would not craft the golden version. Then again, I am the kind of person to buy damaged cards in physical tcgs because I just care about having and playing with the card. Full rarity, fleshed out sparkly cards are nice and I would get them if they had special significance or art that I liked but other than that meh.
For you I guess it fully comes down how much money (if any) you spend on the game. Do you need the dust and if you truly value cards moving slightly.
tl;dr: wouldn't do it. :)

I have vanilla Baku and crafted golden for the HoF refund. Now when rotation hits, I get my 3200 back on top of the 1600 for dusting her, and I still get to keep my vanilla Baku in case I want to use her in wild (which I do from time to time).
I always recommend crafting golden versions of expensive cards before they HoF because it's a free legendary and helps you stash the 3200 it takes to craft them for the upcoming expansion (in case you're the type to think "Maybe it would be worth 800 dust to create a meme deck with Ice Cream Peddler" like I'm prone to be when the meta game settles and my collection has what it needs to stay relevant).
TL;DR - If you can afford it and want to keep Baku, craft golden, and dust her after the HoF refund.

It is one of those cards that is extra cool to have golden, because it gives you a golden hero power for the whole game. If you like odd decks, then keep him golden.
I've crafted Golden Genn & Baku but am not dusting the regular copy because I have a feeling that it will be nerfed one day when it proves a problem in Wild.
I've been playing since Season Two so I can afford to take positions like these without compromising my ability to build other decks.
I haven't thought about it and I think it really could happen in the future when the Wild Community voiced enough they will then nerf Baku and Genn again, and at that point the regular one will be very beneficial. I think I will keep the regular Baku now, since I don't really need the dust right now.
I'm making all hof cards in golden (except that shitty epics lol) coz of 1st hof. I didn't make golden rag and sylvanas then, and now I regret it every day. I won't make that mistake again. If u consider it, and won't make it golden on 90% you will regret it in future.
I can relate to your mindset, I don't want to feel regret later on so I will just craft the golden cards.

I have checked this with a golden Genn Greymane, but the hero power is not golden.
If you can afford to pay a lot of money for packs, then keep the golden one. If you are f2p/poor/not spending money, then why dafuq would you consider keeping it? You obviously need the dust.

Not with Genn because Genn doesn't give you a new heropower. Baku does give you a golden heropower because it's a whole new one. This is just like how Raza doesn't, and golden Deathknights do.

yeah, I'm asking this.
I'm F2P/not spending money but I'm not poor, I do daily quests and Arena, I have enough golds and dusts to ask. So there, go f*** yourself, you brainless!
I’ve crafted every HoF card in gold. The value there is awesome.

Maybe this will help you.
Yea, but doing nothing means 1600 dust profit, hence the "cost" of 1200.
I disagree, he will show off his golden bling at the start of every game and will be played quite a bit too, especially in the Warrior decks.

I think that I'll craft golden copy get dust and dust it and I'll keep the normal one
So 1600 free dust and 3200 that I'll get back.
It's better than 2000 dust but no card for wild play.
If you have already the normal Baku, it makes no sense to craft the golden Baku and dust it after the rotation to HoF. Why?
-> Just keep the normal Baku and do nothing else. You will get 1600 dust after the rotation to HoF. Now compare to your posting above ;-)
Golden Baku cuz Golden Hero Power.
You the same amount of dust by crafting Golden Baku Anyways : normal Baku = 1600 + 1600 refund is 3200.
If you disenchant Baku and craft him in golden you get 3200, it's the same shit in a different version...
i have 110,000 dust i'm crafting everything golden thanks

Keep the golden one and dust it when it rotates out. Unless you play wild ofcourse...
Coz Genn not changing your hero power, but Baku is and it's golden.
