"Baku and Genn are powerful cards that have promoted new strategies since their introduction in the metagame. Those strategies have been more prevalent than we’d intended in Standard, and we felt that they might end up overshadowing what we’re going to introduce in the Year of the Dragon. In order for set rotation to breathe new life into Standard and maintain overall health of the ladder, we are rotating Baku and Genn into the Hall of Fame a year earlier than normal."
As long as they do not print more cards like Quartermaster or Thing from Below, or other stuff with insane synergy with Hero Power, Odd/Even decks may be strong but never truly problematic.
With the upside of allowing interesting deckbuilding challenges in Wild.
Genn is suffering for Baku's mistreatment of standard. I really don't think the Genn decks were all that scary or detrimental, but if one goes- both go. GG NO RE
My beloved Even Paladin, I am glad I had the chance to play with you, after the witchwood nerfs people forgot about you, but secretly you were still a powerhouse overshadowed perhaps by how cheap your odd brother was. Some may have hated you, but I loved how playing you made me feel I was never without a chance, with a bit of luck and a bit of skill we could triumph over the strongest foes!
That was cheesey as heck but oh well, Even Paladin is my favourite deck of all time, but if Baku has to go, so does Genn. Its only fitting Genn goes into the HoF. And besides the even decks in the right classes are just as busted ss Baku decks.
What a lazy design decision, just punt the problem into the long grass and defy your own rotation solution, yes they were a problem but this is just lazy

So handlock goes to the dumpster once again :(
Relegating even pally/shaman to wild is what standard needs (not that pally uses Genn in wild from what I've seen).
Goodbye, sweet prince. You gave us overpowered ladder domination in early Witchwood and late Rumble, but you were low key too good.
Rage quitting: the best way to ensure your opponent knows they beat a giant baby.
As a Wild player, it's good to me.

While Genn wasn't as problematic as Baku, you couldn't HOF just one. If Baku left, Genn would immediately become a larger problem.
More free dust.
If you are in your first year of playing please read this post.
Dust does not burn a hole in the jar. Be careful what you craft, especially before and right after a rotation.
I will miss Genn but it's for the best, I think both cards got enough spotlight, and most people already got their full share of both of these cards..
RIP handlock in standard again, but again I think handlock is a deck that has been a lot in the game and it's time to say goodbye to it (in standard)
