does it still work that you will get the full 3200 dust for them and then you can also disenchant them for 1.6k each?
No, you "only" get teh crafting cost without disenchanting your copies. If you DE your copies, you will get the usual 1/4th dust (1/8th if it is common).
If you can afford the golden versions, craft them and dust the normal ones. Same for the rest of the ones being HoF. You will get a dust refund according to whichever you have and so it’s basically free golden cards after the refund. Total it’s 17,200 dust. I just did it with 8k left to spare.
That is only recommendable if you want golden cards or do not have regular copies. As long as you already own regular copies and want to earn dust, do nothing is the best approach.
Edit: The exception are common cards. There you earn 10 dust if you carft and disenchant golden cards. I can't be bothered to do that for 10 dust. That's why I didn't mention it.
Best news of the month, although I feel bad for the Wild mode - this card will plague it forever
Its not if they ban it. Magic has this stuff even for standard cards. With new cards wild mode will get plagued by solely odd even decks. Maybe they create something like during x year y cards are banned and then they can return. Or maybe just create a truly wild mode where every card is unnerfed and the current wild mode us treated like just rotated sets with certain banned cards like Barnes Baku genn etc

NO! I'm so tired of this being taught the wrong way.
You have the current legendary baku and dust it for +400
You craft the Golden Baku for -3200
You then get the refund, AUTOMATICALLY NO DUSTING, at rotation for +3200
Then if you don't care about wild you dust that copy for another +3200
Cards that rotate hall of fame are treated like a nerf, you get full refunds and dust/craft value. DO NOT fall victim to poor explanations. You have the chance to make a ton of dust this expansion. I have done this for years.
"Craft the best legendarys from the first expansion of the year because you can use for full 2 years in Standard" they said.
This make no sense and please, don't reply me with BS like "But you get full refund..." because cards are crafted with some others in mind, the mage legendary who summon Ragnaros for example become a lot worse because this and no one will get 1.600 dust back for crafted it.
Uh excuse good sir u can play those broken decks in wild for even more broken power

Can you please stop spreading misinformation. You do not know what you are talking about. Noone gets 3200 dust for disenchanting a golden legendary that has been moved to the HoF. Read it up. You only get the crafting cost dust once they move. Disenchanting golden cards will only give you 1600 dust
Edit: Luckily for you, you do not lose dust if you disenchant the golden copies afterwards. But you did not gain any dust in comparison to owning two regular copies, doing nothing until they rotate and disenchant the regular copies. Both times you will have 2000 dust more afterwards.

Nope, you are wrong. You will only get dust for keeping them, not for dusting them. That means, if you dust your golden version later, you get 1600, not 3200.

As long as the HoF works this time like it did with the last round few rounds, yes. I plan on crafting golden versions just for this. It's a huge value in dust and more people should save for this every year.
I instandly crafted the golden copys When I saw the announcement ^^
Wild was also "forever" going to be dominated by Reno, and that is not the case either (there are reno decks for sure but they don't "dominate")
Baku/Genn are already somewat less dominant in wild as there are plenty of other powerfull decks. So as someone who plays both standard and wild (mostly wild) I am glad with this for a few reasons: - I get free dust while I can still play my cards when I want - The metás of wild and standard will be more different, making it more fun to choose between them and experience both - Undervalued/overshadowed cards in standard that will remain will get a new chance to shine
I was very afraid that Baku/Genn would plague the next HS year but to my surprise Blizzard did the right thing moving them to HoF.
This way the next metagame will be brand new, exactly what the game needs right now. I just hope they will nail the next expansion. I would love an expansion and a meta similar to Journey to Ungoro with hopefully no OTK or infinite value decks.
I don't like it. The point of rotations is that problematic cards rotate out eventually. The point of Hall of Fame is to get rid of Classic cards that are oppressive and would never rotate out otherwise.
If a card with expiration date is so terribly designed you feel like Hearthstone can't take another year with it, you should probably butcher it instead of leaving it as it is in just a lesser mode.
For anyone counting, we've had DKs, Jade Idol, Barnes and Spellstones in Standard, and none of them were bad enough to be rotated earlier. It's a mistake to leave something like this changeless if you are trying to get rid of it anyway.
they might secretly want wild to be unbearable. That way they can just keep making everyone in standard. Wild players don’t make them any NEW money gains.

1) Wild has much more in store than just even/odd decks. Renolock is still strong, Reno Priest is still strong, Big Priest hasn't gone anywhere, and if Druid hadn't been nerfed multiple times, Combo Druid would also still be a beast. As you can see, there are build-arounds worth more than a better hero power. Even and Odd decks might get stronger over time, but so will other decks, and every expansion can be the start of a new archetype. Don't be so pessimistic.
2) If Bilizzard would bother with bans, they would have introduced them a long time ago. It's obvious they prefer nerfs and rotations, because that's all you need for Standard, and only on rare occasions would interfere with Wild Mode altogether. So far, only three Wild exclusive cards were ever nerfed because they were actualy gamebreakers, and two more that were about to rotate. Don't get your hopes up that the format would get more attention than an emergency nerf once a year if necessary.

^^^^ This this this A THOUSAND TIMES THIS. I'm really getting sick of hearing this argument parroted. Yes, Baku and Genn decks exist in Wild. Okay, you know what ELSE exists in wild? -literally every single imbalanced overpowered nonsense card Blizzard has ever printed-. It's a very level playing field. Nonsense like Barnes Y'sharaaj and turn 4 Savage Roar Lethal and all this other crap all runs amok in Wild and Genn and Baku aren't any more toxic to that sort of environment until you actually demonstrate that they are in some form with everything else plaguing that metagame. It's not enough to go "WAAAHHH, PEOPLE PLAY ODD AND EVEN DECKS IN WILD!" Demonstrate how those decks are oppressive. Demonstrate how those decks are problematic. Demonstrate how Genn's Hero Power is the problem and not cards like Thing from Below and Hagatha and all that other stuff that pulls Even Shaman together is, and how it's any worse for the metagame than the 30 other ridiculous things in Wild. Until you can do that, you simply don't have a case, and oddly enough, I've never ONCE seen people complaining about Genn and Baku and Wild bring a legitimate argument for the table, they were just crying about hero powers. Convenient, isn't it?
*sigh* no, they are from witchwood. one of the year of the raven sets. year of the mamoth is rotating.
Rejoice, for even in death, you have become children of Thanos.
You will get the crafting cost for up to two copies of the most expensive cards you own (e.g. golden) without disenchanting the cards.

My first created Hearthstone cards:

I instandly crafted the golden copys When I saw the announcement ^^
Wild isn't plagued by them right now
He's inaccurate though: Only 1 copy for the legendaries.

am i able to dust all rotating cards to get enough dust to craft golden cards before rotation?
i don´t have enough dust at the moment but this would make me able to craft them. :)

Yeah i thought the same.. ^^
