LOL, and what's the deal about that, my dear friend?
Why is your signature a compilation of Robin Arryn being a lil' shit? xD

Start of Year: Provoke the failure of 3 expansions, force nerfs on otherwise balanced cards, bring deckbuilding to an all-time low and get rotated one year earlier for being such a threat to the game's health. - Genn and Baku's historical entry on the White Book of Shit Design, shortly before retiring unpunished
Mecha'thun decks are a lot more interactive than many combo decks in the past. Patron Warrior's OTK was so bad that in a tournament, someone literally did every single thing they could to play around the deck, that being not playing minions and armoring up every turn, yet still ended up taking around 60+~ burst in a single turn. OG Molten Giant Warrior that would go and play a ton of giants and warsong (which used to just give every minion charge) to kill you when they got low, Worgen Warrior would also just OTK you from essentially nowhere. Freeze Mage boils down to not doing anything and preventing your opponent from also doing things until the game is over by playing Alexstraza and burning the enemy for 15. Many current renolock decks are still running Leeroy, Power Overwhelming and Faceless Manipulator to burst the opponent for 20. Miracle rogue was essentially Mecha'thun decks but instead of being fragile to disruption, there literally was no disruption and you'd die on turns 5-6-7 with very little counterplay.
Sure these decks aren't "destroying their entire decks" and winning when they complete that, but I'd say they are far less interactive than Mecha'thun is right now. At the height of most of these decks, Dirty Rat and other disruption cards literally did not exist, making for possible counterplays to be impossible. Right now, in standard alone, Mojomaster Zihi counters several of the top decks, along with being a pain for a lot of classes to deal with. Sure Mecha'thun is still annoying when it goes off, but it's far from being the least interactive combo deck in Hearthstone.

I don't have something witty about this deck, I just like it because Malygos is fun.
I find this topic very funny, considering most people laughed at Mecha'thun when the card was revealed, when it obviously had a lot of potential, LMAO. I'm glad I was one of the few who believed the CypherBenkes' "prophecy" about Mecha'thun. XD

Hehe, I thought it was funny at first, but it seems his sheer stupidity affected me for a moment. XD But what about you? Why did you suddenly changed your avatar to Coldhands? :P
Yes. Also keep a silence. They will be forced to either wait until they have 10 mana again, or play C'thun on turn 8 and pray you don't kill/ silence it.
Nerubian Unraveler can also counter C'thun but at the very least stalls it for a turn. The combo in both druid and warlock requires 10 mana and they both involve a spell.

Wait... what?
I've been playing a cube lock list with a demonic possession in it and have been crushing mecha/weird tog druid decks all night.

Do you mean Dirty Rat and for warlocks demonic project BrokenCycle?
Or what other counters there are? (besides somehow Skulking Geist vs Druids)
No what defeats mec cthun dmg to the opponent when there life total is 0 they are ded
Please just use the salt thread... I'm feelimg sad for you....
Just run Geist and/or Zihi and you are good. It's not that hard to counter them.
Mojomaster Zihi says hi
Mojomaster Zihi, play it at the right turn and you have 4 turns of trying to kill your opponent with them being a sitting duck.
Ban literally everything that I lose to!!!

Combo kills control?
Cry more or adapt to the meta
Really? You don't say...
Mechathun decks are actually the most counterable of the combo decks right now.
Zihi shuts them down, especially warlock who can't stack armor.
Geist beats druid straight up.
Go aggro ! :)
Meh. I typically play control priest, and run Hakkar. While the deck has its flaws, a matchup against MechaThun isn't a problem.
Ooooh, FIRE!
