This would buff big rogue because they are almost guaranteed to summon a Silver Vanguard or a Kobold Illusionist and they can no longer low roll Spritsinger Umbra or Sonya Shadowdancer on t4
I think barnes should summon a actor that when ressurected stays a 1/1. The ressurections are the problem, not the barnes effect itself
So if the actor gets the ability of Y'Shaarg, pulls something big, and you kill both, wouldn't the priest servitude the big thing back? Just devil's advocating here.

Yeah, the priest could servitude the real Y'saarj back, but now there is more to rng in actually having Barnes to work out well instead of just "Oh I played this on T4 guess I win". Having the actor be a thing just would mean you won't get overwhelmed by killing an obsidian statue or Ragnaros.

I don't have something witty about this deck, I just like it because Malygos is fun.
You could change it so that Barnes doesn't summon an actual copy of the minion, but a fixed Barnes token 1/1 that copies its effects. Something like a Mirage that assumes the effects of whatever Barnes chooses. The Mirage will then do whatever the original could do (active effects, end of turn effects, deathrattles etc.) but it will always be a flat 1/1. If you silence it, it's still a 1/1. If you resurrect it, it's a blank 1/1 with no effects.
What if barnes said:"summon a 1/1 with the card text of a minion in your deck" so basically resurrect would only resurrect a 1/1 since the minion created by barnes is only a 1/1 with an enchantment. Silence would also just leave you with a 1/1 instead of e.g. an 8/8 lich king.
on topic, Big priest was never a problem until Lesser Diamond Spellstonegot printed, and this spellstone breaks way too many decks asides from big priest, basically compare it to gallery and you can see that spellstone should cost more than gallery, barnes isn't a problem in any other deck, spellstone tho, spellstone is a problem in many different priest decks both in standard and wild.
Shudderwock means driving a clown car in circles around your opponent while he swings his sword at you. Half the time he chops you and your car to pieces. The other half you park on his legs and 40 clowns come out one by one, trampling him to death.
Why are we still having to deal with this little asshole at all? Look, cheating out endless Boulderfist Ogres would still be BS. The deck is the highest/lowest roll crap in the game, it's about as fun being gifted a game by a big priest that draws poorly (they sit there and do nothing) as it is being stomped by one that has a godhand. When a Big Priest is involved hearthstone is barely even a game, neither player has any real influence over anything.
Big Priest is problematic, but for me it's been the only way to play ladder and do irl-stuff at the same time :D Sometimes you just don't want to think, you just want a deck that piilot itself without watching opponents' turns. In recent months I have written a lot of academic texts at Uni's library and at the same time rank up from rank 10 to 3 easily.
No it doesn't you monkey
Rend Blackhand
Rejoice, for even in death, you have become children of Thanos.

Why not just make Barnes more expensive and adjust the stats accordingly so it doesn't happen so early?
Make him a 6 mana 5/6 maybe?

That's a clunky nerf, and it doesn't stressa the core issue

Summon 1/1 copy of your minion that costs 5 (adjust to any number lower than 8) or less. You are welcome.
I do what I must, when I must. Know this well.
This is the solution that I've liked since forever.
The minion is a buff on the actor, instead of a full copy. Silenceable, dirties the resurrect pool, even Yasharash wouldn't be as OP.
~ Summons Zola the Gorgon targeting this post.
"no card ever should reference to a rarity or border style."
I am.

and that old shredder!

Actually the second best nerf i have heard after mana nerf to 6
Rend Blackhand, Sneed's Old Shredder and weaponized pinata already exist

Barnes is a shame for this game and must be removed, that's all.
“Summon a 1/1 copy of a minion you have two of in your deck.”
If you try to game it by forcing his choice, you seriously risk him whiffing by drawing one of your two-of first.
