2. The discard mechanic of Cataclysm was a build around so that it had positives , or just use Malcheezar Imp there you go 1 mana minion + 4 mana spell => better than pyro + equality right? (Because you would only lose 1 card instead of 2 by paying 1 more Mana)
While i do agree maybe that Equality may have deserved a nerf, it would just be 3 Mana rather than killing the card like Blizzard typically does with the "nerfs". This is why i dont like most of Blizzard nerfs.
most people are saying this is a bad nerf, but I disagree.
I understand why would might not like this nerf, it was still a good nerf because now in future expansions, blizzard can print better AOEs for paladin, and possibly make a better control deck for them.

The same BS "argument" was made when rogue Blade was nerfed for they can make a lot better weapons for rogue and for almost 7 expansions nothing comes until Kingsbane...
Brutal for even paladin but a good nerf. In it's original form, it basically gave you execute for the entire board, but at the same cost. Now it is in the realm of costing what AOE should cost.
Just came back to HS after taking a break for about a year. Went to make a Paladin deck and wow this nerf just seemed unnecessary. Pala seems really tame compared to Mage and Warrior decks.

Wild Pyromancer + Equality even though it was 4 Mana was nowhere near comparable with Cataclysm because :

Just wait for Genn and Baku to rotate out and then change it to 3 mana to avoid odd paladin from using it
