An obvious big hit to Odd Rogue. This was kinda their game-winning burst (+ Leeroy) and w/o this spell I don't think people will play odd rogue anymore. It doesn't have anything exciting to offer.
Tempo rogue and probably pirate kingsbane will replace it in both wild and standard. Unlike the odd archtype then can add powerful draws like Elven Minstrel, which will help them continue the pressure.
It helps, but we'll see. The main problems with odd rogue is the fact that Vicious Fledgling and Hench-Clan Thug are such snowballs and win conditions if they can't be dealt with.
after the HoFed power overwhelming this is next in line.
Why doesn't anyone care about Blessing of Might, though? Is 1 less damage really that impactful? In hindsight, I also think PO was probably a bad HOF decision.
Actually - the more I think about it - this is a fucking terrible change. There is the tricky combo mechanic and your payoff is paying 1 more mana for 1 more attack than blessing of might. You're so lucky that you get the added flexibility of being able to not combo it and give a minion 2 attack for the cost of 2 mana.
I am not sure if Odd-Rogue will be dead in Wild, because as far as I know most lists don`t play Deadly Poison so maybe there will be 2x DP instead of Cold Blood in this deck. Yes, Cold Blood is way better in this deck, but DP should be still ok and give at least a bit more burst. So I think Odd-Rouge should still be T2 in Wild instead of T1 and this is ok in my opinion. (And I played Odd-Rogue for myself most of the time in Wild in the last months.)
Blizzard should make a special stream lessons or youtube videos in which they explain the the only way hs should be played is with supa dupa 1000 IQ control/combo homebrewed decks and 30 minutes long match is a minimum time period that proves you're not braindead blah blah something etc.
Not very happy with this change, I just hope this will not enable too many otk bullcrap decks to roam free and win just because you cannot disrupt their combo or because you cannot kill them before they pull it off.
Odd rogue was such a non fun deck to play against tho, so this might be actually a good nerf.
This sucks. It really screws up miracle rouge. It used to be pretty good, a slightly better version of blessing of might with a condition but now it is worse in every way. I would have rather they nerf something like Hench thug to target specifically odd rouge. The other rouge decks that run cold blood aren't really a problem and shouldn't be hurt.
Worst part is, this might be fair or keep odd rogue in check, but it destroys miracle rogue, a tier 3/4 deck that felt kind of underpowered to begin with. All variation of this deck aswell.
Blizzard is so bad at "nerfing" cards, they just destroy them.
So i guess cubelock is the new deck to beat those pesky otk gallery. Without odd rogue to murder cubelock it can relive for a last hoorah one year after its inception. The irony
It's a lot slower of an option, but you can put in Crazed Chemist if you really want this effect in an Odd Rogue still. Costs 5 instead of 1, but also comes with a 4/4 body. Wonder how this nerf will effect the Even Rogue archetype (if it does at all).

I am tempted to try it in a Corpsetaker shell, in Wild...

Big nerf to Odd Rogue. Seems fair. The deck was a little bit to fast.
This is the only one I feel weird about. Is Cold Blood *that* much better than Blessing of Might?
Good change! Dying to a 1-drop is never fun.

now coldblood is just worse version of eviscerate :<
i am not surprised.

Nerfing Odd Rogue about a year late

This card is super hot stinky garbage now.

It pains me to say it, but this is the right call. Cold blood is just a great card you put in your deck to win games kind of for free.
But I think it will be too clumsy and weak at 2 mana and see little to no play now.
This is a fair change per se.
But then Blessing of Might deserved the same treatment.

Just like mana wyrm
Why would i play this over eviscerate?

Feels like a change that's only done because Odd Rogue is a thing, not because Cold Blood itself is an unbalanced card.
