Well, that's disappointing. Its just to expensive to do anything. You can't combo it with Shield Slam due to the high cost, the body is subpar and doesn't give anything extra. There is little to no reason to play this over Shield Block, which is cheaper and can cycle for something useful.
Bye cairne. This card is SO good for warrior in the current meta. Silence cairne-trade-recombabulator-into your own cairne <--- you win the game the value is insane. This card is amazing trades with sludge AND gets you 5 armour.
People forget how huge tempo swing this card can be in combination with shield slam. You drop this, and for one extra mana you kill something scary on the other side of the board (depending how much armor you already have). Sure, this is not fitting in current Warrior decks, but I'm sure we will see some tempo midrange warrior with all the new cards, in this jump in perfectly in it.
Guardian of Kings fit in paladin because paladin is removal based while staying alive to reach fatigue. What the heck is 5 extra armor doing warrior any good? Are you replacing sylvanas with it? Lotheb? There is no place for this card in control warrior unless you want to curve even higher.
Seriously tho guys.......People should have went with the Goblin pirate...Just from the Gnome picture you knew it was gonna be some big armor gain from the shield in the picture...But i guess it could have been something very kewl like Battlecry shield slam for whatever armor you have.
It would be used instead of cairne, black knight and even sylvanas in a heartbeat in this meta, no doubts about it too.
This is obivously the strongest 6-drop option in the entire game for an aggressive heavy meta.
While I wouldn't necessarily go so far as to say its the best 6-drop in the entire game, I agree that it's definitely going to be much stronger than most people here are giving it credit for.

If you aren't playing Paladin, you're doing it wrong.
why would I use this instead of TBK .......... ? yet alone in a heartbeat ? the only synergy it has is with slam, thats it, otherwise it is a crappy slow ass holy fire or GoK.
We can't really throw this card under the bus because for all we know there is gonna be more Armor spells coming for Warrior, But even without that it's still a solid Arena pick.
I'm pretty sure I will try this out instead of Cairne in my control warrior deck. I'm still unsure if I like it or not, but might help against all the aggro. Also it is better against Belchers/Loatheb than Cairne.
Seems like a free-to-play control warrior card, doubt the current warrior decks will run it assuming the meta doesn't shift too much from the current aggro-centric apocalypse.
It's not a bad card. It'll be a decent pick in arena. Just not very flashy and not what Warrior needs, unless there are more cards that interact with armor.
I like that the card exists, it's just a disappointing reveal considering how normal it is.

Why was this not five mana to begin with? FIVEFIVEFIVEFIVE....
Shieldmaiden, only useful for shieldslam, but still it is far inferior when compared to the 6-drop Legendaries.
7 mana = Shieldmaiden +Shield Slam. reminds me of Shield Block + Shield Slam
not too impressive unless there's going to be more uses of the shield coming up.

This card is actually better then Guardian of Kings for Paladin...For the extra 1 Mana you only get 1 extra HP and 1 Heal...
Shieldmaiden 6 Mana = 5/5 = Heal for 5
Guardian of Kings 7 Mana = 5/6 = Heal for 6
I guess it might not be better, but it's on par with it...Probably has more synergy with Warrior tho that makes it better.
Guardian of Kings has worse stats than this and only heals one extra. I wouldn't say this is a terrible card. Just really unexciting.

good for arena, meh in constructed
60 % of the time I'm winning 100% of the time
Hate cards that have a Battlecry: Artificially prolong the game. This is one of the best examples.
On the bright side, combos pretty well with Shield Slam.

Don't think it will see much Constructed play but in Arena will be ''Above Average'' pick.

I feel your pain. First the nubs voted based on Ben Brode's vote, then many didn't get the sar/
The bloody pirate was winning by 60/40 then I don't bloody know how this happened.
